I will agree to this, it's extremely mental. The thing is though a lot of ppl don't want to quit because they like it and it hasn't messed up their lives or will give them cancer at any point unless they smoke 30 joints a day. It's hard to WANT to quit that really.

My mother, despite coming here as a college student, speaks with only a hint of an accent, but still hasn't gotten over the grammar thing half the time. So at home, I sort of lose the grammar Nazi nature and go into "home-speak" mode. A lot of my pronunciation will also fall into a somewhat Indonesian lilt, even though I don't speak more than 20 words of it, just because of the way my mom speaks.
In a more professional environment like school, I speak pretty normally.
Around friends, I speak the same way they do--no accent or anything, but any sort of vernacular expression or slang term definitely gets thrown around that would never be acceptable in the face of my mom or a college professor.
Even in FFXI, if I'm talking to friends who don't really care about grammar, I'll lose the caps when using proper nouns or at the beginning of sentences, and will even use run-on sentences.
So, I'd say you pick things up from wherever you socialize, and you never stick to just one, but rather adapt to the environment you're in.

You can't really judge it based off services, I've called/been called by so many foreign services with diff languages(asain, african, indian ect.) and they have all had horrible accents and as mad as they make me I've surprisingly yet to yell at them or treat them with disgust.
I will say though, yes, america is full of biggots, we just don't give a ***about ppl in general. No need to start this argument though, all nations are racist to some degree, the only thing we agree on is we all hate france and canada.

weed did affect my mind, like i said, it put me on a delusional state, i couldnt even think right after being sober for a while, i felt affected. so I stopped, why harm myself for some fun time? I felt like I was doing some harm to my mind so I quit.
I've seen people clean and suddenly take up on weed and then have a pretty disorted mind, fall out on school work, and their creativity totaly die off, I guess it depends on the person, I dont really care, if you say it doesn't harm you, cool, as long as it doesnt harm anyone around you i dont give a ***, but when people start forcing their opinion that it isnt bad and i should join them it's when it gets personal.

people probably get mad at me on the phone because i talk slow, americans talk english so fast sometimes i cant keep up and ask them to repeat things :/ I also have trouble with pronunciation or w/e in some words, and by nature I pronounce the R really strong lol.

this isn't true. i grew up in the deep south and speak without a trace of a southern accent, even though everyone around me spoke with a heavy accent
i realized the way i spoke would be a part of how i was perceived in the future, and constantly forced myself to speak without a southern accent
so, it is possible to force yourself to speak properly, it is quite difficult though.

well thats why i said its impossible for me to speak english with out an accent o.o. I guess some people can beat it off? I can't. I can't deny my main language's accent no matter how hard i tried, and well my way of pronouncing the R will never die :/ ever.
besides I have been complemented by my accent before by someone i really appreciate :o boosted my ego on that area lol so i stopped trying, i do try to talk as clear as possible so my words dont get misunderstood.

I get good pay and full benefits at mine.

I didn't think that word existed, but i don't think those two also influence his judgement over weed.
I don't have religious or political affilation and i agree to most things he says, I just don't like going on arguments about it.
I experienced it, loved it, but I found it bad, I make my judgement over personal experience mostly than what the numbers/studies say :/

I didn't say it effected this argument directly, but indirectly. If he belongs to the 2 I think, then as a whole they are ignorant and hardheaded making it impossible to talk with them and not get a headache, that's why I'm asking.

I am far far from ignorant, sir. The facts are what they are: marijuana is harmful to the human body. Is it like swallowing poison or sucking on the tailpipe of a car? No. But it sure as ***is harmful, and it's just not debatable.

I actually agree with you 100% on the fact that weed is addictive to a certain degree, why wouldn't it be lol.

The fact of the matter is this.
Just as there are varying degrees of physical addiction there are varying degrees of physical damage.
Everything you do degrades your body, some things do more than others of course, but in the end run are you better off downing a scotch or smoking a jay?
Technically the preferable answer would be neither, but this is just for the part of society that decides to bury their problems.
