No one I know that smokes is addicted and all have had to quit because of where they work. How can this be an addictive substance? out of all the drugs i've done in my life weed has to be safest on all fields.
lsd is safe chemically but has a pretty significant mental backlash with some people, not something you'd want to do every day anyway.

I'm with Elana; Weed is addictive and is pretty bad for you (Not as bad as other things though!)
Though I think that how much you are affected depends on the type of person you are and if you're a heavy smoker of said substance.

Myself; I smoked cannabis quite a bit but then stopped because I felt it was affecting me adversely. Not just because of the damage to my lungs (I noticed that my breathing was getting a little messed up), but mentally I felt kinda... detatched in a sense.
I was extremely relaxed haha, but to the point where I became somewhat aloof and it affected my performance on many things, like work and studies and things that I should have cared about and paid more attention to just got kinda brushed to one side, or not given the time needed.
Eventually I'd find myself smoking more and more until I just -had- to stop.

When I'd stopped and got clean, I could see the same things in my friends who had smoked with me, some not quite to severe, but there was one who had become pretty paranoid... we'd try to speak about his addiction, and how weed was affecting him but he denied it a lot sadly x_x. Eventually he gave up though after things slowly got put into perspective for him.

I know it's not the same for everyone, but this is my experience and the experience of my friends who I had smoked with over the years. I think even now I still feel the draw of it, I would love to be able to go back to smoking it socially, like on a friday night with a good group of people and a movie or somesuch, but I'm a grown up now (ahahahaha! yeah right :p) so I have to behave e____e;

I'm under the impression marijuana broke into his house, tied him up, raped his wife and then killed her and cut off his testicles and left him alive. That's the only reason he has all these *** links laying around.
