You'd have to take every craft to like 100ish or max 1-2. I took two to 100-150 and only got level 8.(with boosters) EXP Scales via leveling be it kills, resurrection or crafting. It's pointless to blow money crafting to speed level when it would be more beneficial to grind through the painful early levels then burn out the end levels. as you get closer to 80, hearts start to diminish a lot, heck, the 80 maps dont even have them, so it is better to wait to zerg a craft until the late levels, if you doing it for the xp. I think he just wants to boost his way past the first 20 levels which are rather slow.
But honestly I think it's better to save that at the end where the same amount of money will get you 20 much harder to obtain levels. Don't get me wrong though you can burn from 60-80 quickly if you just camp events in Sparkfly(til 70ish) then run to Cursed Shore and camp events there. My point is though it'll take a lot of gold to burn to 20 and it will take getting a fair few crafts leveled. Ramuh.Urial said: » That would be foolish. I was curious if this was the case. Thanks! Ragnarok.Ravant said: » Ramuh.Urial said: » That would be foolish. You'd have to take every craft to like 100ish or max 1-2. I got 2 characters to 80 without any craft. Even with the lack of hearts at the high levels, the rotation of events makes getting exp cake 70+. Took me like 6 hrs or something to get 70- 80 one sunday Ramuh.Urial said: » Ragnarok.Ravant said: » Ramuh.Urial said: » That would be foolish. Thanks ya I would rather save the money if it wouldnt be worth it. I guess ill just follow the same pattern I used for the first 2 characters. Thanks for the info though guys I appreciate it. You get more exp from discovery crafting instead of making the generic base components/insignias and spamming recently discovered recipes. You could craft your way up to 80, but It would probably be better to level up "normally" and gather materials to use to craft or just to sell to help fund w/e you want to do. And if you do get a crafting booster, don't pop it unless you know you got a stupid amount of materials to continue crafting with. volkom said: » Fastest guy to hit 80 did it all by crafting. Mind you a guild was feeding him mats. Sorry I was rushing my responses because I was about to leave work. Ya I read the thing about the 1st guy to craft his way up. I was trying to do the opposite and instead of the last 20 levels, I was trying to quickly level the first 20 since I hate having no skills and stuff. But oh well I dont mind doing it the normal way either I guess.
![]() My new AWESOME focus!! Wish my scepter had a particle effect, would match so well with this :Q ![]() I'm so dapper. You look smashing, my good lad.

Sooo any good places to farm Karma? I'm likening the mediu
Body design from Orr and wanted to grab one when I hit 80 Straits of devastation have a lot of events, almost constant. Along with the neigboring areas, just need to find a good place to camp and hope the event isnt bugged.
Yea all these bugged events and map thingies piss me off. Have like 6 maps ATM 1 item from 100% and said item is bugged lol but I'll try there got like 6 karma boosters too
WvWvW is the best place for Karma if your server isn't balls.
On Blackgate <,< lol we are decent but don't have much number wise.
id be on more but been busy lately :/
does anyone know if all the Asuran Tier 3 cultural weapons are meant to have the purple glowing effects on them? i just bought the 1-handed sword and it doesn't seem to have any.

To add to this, im not sure how your server is but on Stormbluff we have a "zerg" that rotates all the best/quick events and its all very fast. Thats how I got my thief from 70-80 very very quickly. The only down time is running with the zerg or if some idiots do the events outside of the zerg. I actually got DR from doing so many events in a short period of time when leveling thief. A lot of 80s spam that all day with Karma Boosters on until they get DR then they log for ~15 min. DR?
Diminishing Returns, basically if you spam the same events over and over and over youll get less exp, karma, drop etc until its almost nothing.
Edit: Also I've been told that if you log out for 15 min that the DR will reset and you can resume but it seemed like when I did this that it didnt remove the DR, its just sort of reset a little, but after a few min I noticed it getting lower again. Bismarck.Misao said: » where is this at? Straits of Devastation on stormbluff isle server. People just enter the map and /m where the zerg is currently or headed and they'll say which event ( Giant, AM=Arch Mage, Chopper, Aco=Acolyte Leader, Lyssa Gren and a few more I cant think of atm.) Sometimes theyll call out the Waypoint too. If you know where the event are its easy to find them. If not just ask for the closest waypoint and look for the huge group of people running around. But like I said they MAY not apply to every server. I just happened to run into it on mine when I was first doing that map on my 72 thief at the time. These events if done together with the zerg have enough time between them to run a rotation and hit them all fairly quick. However should I small group take out an event before the zerg gets to it, it throws a lot of stuff off and pisses a lot of people off. Cause then youll be stuck waiting on event timers and have less events to slow down the DR. I should also mention that the only events they do are on the big main section of land, none of the smaller islands and not any water events. Ye had that DR ***happen last night (mind ya it was after bout 4 hours spamming the same event chain that rest every 5 min and lasted bout the same. Didn't get ***numbers till bout 40min after it started going down. loggged out to reset and passed out lol but I'm 78 now :3
