Guild Wars 2
A gaming laptop is needed to run this with med to high settings, if it's not, enjoy the low quality goodness that is guild wars, or face some lag.
Well feel free to give some suggestions.
I myself have a gaming desktop, but I'm buying the laptop for someone else, and know nothing about laptops. Halloween event is live. Recipes, Costume Brawl, and Act I events are all in Lion's Arch. Lots of costumes and stuff to buy in the Gem Store if you're so inclined (as well as a free hat), and Candy Corn nodes are all around the world. You need like, 250 Candy Corn and a million other things to make weapon skins permanent, so keep that in mind before buying or using them on something.
So I can't even find the only thing that isn't level 80 required. Where are the horns at?
not a single bit of it requires level 80 lol. the devil horns are in the gem shop, costs 0 gems, under style
But aren't all the rewards level 80? And the horns aren't there :(
Nah, weapon skins, costumes, and tonics don't have a level requirement.
Check Featured Items on the home page of the gem store for the horns. If all else fails, can search for them, they're just called Devil Horns. Bizarre, it's not letting me buy them on my alts either... hmm
Well how do I get costumes then, except the ones that cost money?
Right now theyre temporary ones, permanent will come later. Jump in the cauldron in the middle of lion's arch
Gave up trying to get anything.
Yeah have to admit that I've pretty much given up on it for now as well. I dunno what happened between GW1 and GW2, (NCsoft, what a stupid question!) but in GW1 you didn't have to pay $10 for every costume, minipet, and $50+ for weapon skins, nor did you have to pay $1 per holiday tonic. All of that was and still is free. /sigh.
All the rewards I could find are only 4 hours or used to make level 80 gear. :(
Sucks that the permanent Halloween weapons are 80 exotics in a way but then again it's not like it takes very long to get 80 either. I finished the scavenger hunt event for the memoirs and got a book that goes on your back. Looks kinda cool. The text hints that there are more volumes to come (guessing in the other Acts).
So far the weapon skins elude me. Have opened 28 chests and have yet to get one. Trying for the greatsword one. It really sucks if you waited till now to get your gems. Their current price isn't worth it at all. THe level requirement of the permanent weapons isn't the issue at all. The fact that they require such a massive amount of resources, being holiday items, is pretty retarded.
Gift: 250 Candy Corn + 10 Crystalline Dust + 40 Elonian Wine + 100 of X Halloween Item Weapon: Gift of the Moon + Gift of Spiders + Gift of Souls + Temporary Weapon Valefor.Prothescar said: » THe level requirement of the permanent weapons isn't the issue at all. Gift: 250 Candy Corn + 10 Crystalline Dust + 40 Elonian Wine + 100 of X Halloween Item Weapon: Gift of the Moon + Gift of Spiders + Gift of Souls + Temporary Weapon Someone was offering to craft the Gift of Spiders for people if they would bring the mats. The mats for that one gift are 250x Orihalcum Ingots + 20x Globs of Ectoplasm + 100x Destroyer Lodestones + 1 Gift of Ascalon. Which in of itself, like you said, is insane. (I think it was the bow itself, didn't pay very much attention once I saw that list of ingredients.) Halloween event is close to an end! Get your Mad King farming and stuff in before the 31st when it's no longer accessible. All Halloween instances and zones scale you up to level 80, so if you're underlevelled you can still participate before it ends.
Next major content patch is on November 15th, it will include (so far all they've told us, there'll be more): -A new Island landmass in Tyria -A new PvE game mode -New PvP modes and features -A new 3 day long event that will have content added between November 6th and 15th leading up to it If their patches all come out this often with such nice additions, I'm gonna be very impressed. 2 months in a row so far with awesome patches, and they've been under 30 days apart. P2P games should be taking notes. I need to do the halloween event. Maybe tomorrow. I at least need to open those lion chests. But yeah that new patch looks great.

Why are there so many full signet warriors? They are the most useless people I've ever seen. They put on a full DD build get bowled over in dungeons and then end up doing less damage because they're on the ground so much. Signets can be fine, but seriously... Try some defence. GW2 also falls into the common trope that all cash shops fall into; It's barely viable to farm the items with in game cash seeing as gold is a necessity. Especially seeing as gems are constantly raising in price too. GW2 also falls into the common trope that all cash shops fall into; It's barely viable to farm the items with in game cash seeing as gold is a necessity. Especially seeing as gems are constantly raising in price too. the gw1 store was just full of novelty stuff and things that didn't really add much to the game besides the extra storage. the gw2 store is also full of novelty stuff. none of it is game changing besides the extra storage/inventory you can get. the only bad thing about gw2 is the massive botting The GW1 store added a full set of heroes that you could use without having to find specific ones in the game, everything else was novelty but it cost money with no way to farm it.
I wasn't claiming that GW2 had necessary items in it (even though storage kinda is) I was more explaining the fact that trading gold for gems becomes less and less viable with each person doing it. The entire point of the gold/gem transfer was to dissuade people from buying gold, but with gem prices rising it's more cost efficient to buy gold from an outside source. Gems are getting too expensive, and it won't be long before it's in the territory of it not being viable to buy gems with in game currency. Phase Four of the Halloween event begins tomorrow at 9:00 AM PT/10:00AM MT/11:00AM CT/12:00PM ET/4:00 GMT and ends at around 12:00PM PT/1:00PM MT/2:00PM CT/3:00PM ET/7:00 GMT. The party will be constant through this time, so head to Lion's Arch for your last Halloween Achievement before it ends
Ascent of Madness will be unavailable as soon as Phase 4 begins, but you will still be able to access the Mad King's Realm until the end of the event. couldnt go to black gate since it was full so just chose something random but doesnt really matter :P yay kitty
