For the Code for your Asuran Armguards (FFXIII in game item) go to http://member.square-enix.com/na/features/ff13/serialcode/ps3.php (I imagine you can substite region and console where needed) and it should give you the code

When you equip them it grants a status effect that runs out after 15 minutes. It hasn't been a full 24 hours yet, but no one I ran into has gotten it to grant it again since the first time. So as good as confirmed?
Meh. It's probably not worth the trouble of reinstalling and reactivating my content ID on XI then.
