I'm totally asking for this to be changed into the XIV general officially.
Gonna be headed to Ul'dah in a short bit. Might as well use these Sandals to get some Telepoints. Not to mention I could use some more Guildleves since Limsa's only got 2 for mining ; ;

While that is meh news, that means they are already working toward a version update which may contain a ton of the new stuff that people thought was going to be on release, like the extra jobs and such.

So how's release?
Particularly, how is the UI lag, the server lag, etc.
Are there more available classes than beta? How about areas/regions? Mobs? Guildleves?
How's client stability? They magically fix all crash bugs for release?
How about the economy? They provide a retainer search function?

UI is better, combat is still off a bit. Server isn't lagging at all for me personally. Chat log is still hard to read without a background.
I haven't done anything but kill a few marmots so far. Currently focused on getting to each city.
Client seems to be doing great. No crashes so far. Been on for an hour or so now.
No clue about retainers or economy yet.
Did they increase the chat buffer at all?
Or is trying to chat
with someone still kind of
like typing like
this because there isn't
enough room to
otherwise type in
complete sentences?

Hey Jaerik, I mentioned this in another thread but I'll say it again since I know you're getting the game in Japan.
I have a Japanese Asuran Armbands code that I can't use on my North American Square Enix Account. I'd be glad to give it to you if you'd like to use it.

Does anyone else in Gridania need a pearl? Last call before I head back to Ul'Dah and do some awesome stuff in awesometown.
So, do the sandals only work for a couple levels? I got to level6 in like half an hour doing the first set of guildleves, and now I can't seem to get the Quicken effect to come back...
Also, could I join your LS? I don't know anyone that plays this yet. I am in Limsa, "Nina Blackwings".

Release is doing awesome so far I think.
UI Lag is gone~
More available classes, I dunno yet. Area/Regions, dunno yet, Guildleves, dunno yet.
Economy is kinda ... slowish right now, but that's mostly cause some people have been having trouble getting their CE today. Retainer search function, dunno.
Client Stability is ... well ... stable. I played it for a few hours this afternoon and I had no crashes or any lag.

If it doesn't work, I'll have to buy the JP version (for the ridiculously inflated JP retail price) and import it, at which point I'll have an unusable NA code sitting around. I'd be willing to trade or something for your armbands if it comes to that. =)
