It is full of fail though so i guess I shouldn't be surprised.

1) there are monsters (and at the very least drops) that TH most certainly does not affect. In particular drops that have set drop rates. I'm sure there must be something else in game that has a variable drop rate in game that isn't affected by th, but i don't acre enough to prove it.

2) making a claim that th affects lizard eggs, therefore th affects all drops is a terrible use of logic in the first place. It violates argument by example at several levels. and is just plain wrong. see 1)

3)the claim that you have some insight into how traits work more than a vague guess is a claim you cannot hope to prove.

4)the claim that all job traits work the same is simply wrong.

Btw subtle blow doesn't work cause I see mobs still using tps all the times.

Accuracy bonus doesn't work cause I still miss alot sometimes.

And of course none of the resist traits do

oh and if you were assuming i was specifically using lizards as an example at a exclusion to all other mobs, you misunderstood. i was separating lizards drop pools, from nm drop pools, from hnm drop pools. i think this is a fair thing to do.

No, more along the lines that MAB bonus is a single number bonus to dmg (proven), while resist traits both can provide outright resistance, as well as shortened duration of the buff(assumed). These two traits are clearly not operating in the exact same manner.

I'll further that by saying when you show me a test that statically proves that a nm of loot worthy caliber I'll perhaps let up even more on my claim.

Actually it's pretty obvious that they provide resistance. Duration only in the form of half/quarter resist very easy to prove

There's very few mechanics in this game that are debuffs thats have an exact duration that can be halfed/quartered to the point where the accuracy of the trait is no longer called into question. .5/.75 are useful estimates, but it could be 20/60. My point wasn't to show that resistance theory is wrong, rather its imprecise. So to claim such strong claims about other traits that could be unreliable as well is not going to win me over.


In any event, the point of all this is if you claim that TH works the same way on lizards as it does on hnms, there is a problem.

While there may be evidence that is useful if your farming lizard eggs on the ah, its decidedly less useful on mobs that matter.

All will always been full 1/2 or 1/4 (where applicable) duration. Every single time.

And I've casted gravity only to have it land for 2 seconds and wear. If you claim that the upper end of the cast duration was also reduced, well maybe it is always reduced .5/.25. But that still a difference from how the spell works from sleep/sleep2/sleepga. So again differences in how the game handles different spells, making blanket statements are bad. Always a counter point in this game lol.

Most people on the internet have too many different social codes to bother with being their version of "nice."

I have to admit after playing FFXI for around 9 something years (ish) my online social and moral codes have slipped down the shitter.
Too many *** and if you waste your time being nice and "playing by everyone else's book" you are wasting your time.
I've found it much easier to have my own codes that I follow and I don't bother to question other peoples. I say what I want to say or do what I want to do trying to keep other peoples feeling and my own in mind. And if a *** throws a lemon at me I occassionally put that juice in a squirt gun and put it back in their eye.
Noone wins, but at least they think twice before *** up my day.
It's a shame I've had to go on a system like that but greed gets the best of us and this "taking turns" system doesn't exist on the internet.
