Hakama +1 were already a decent choice depending on your other options.

Compared to Thaumas Kecks if wearing 0 other Thaumas: 8DEX, WSD +2%, 6 storeTP Vs. 1STR, 2acc, 2att

1 other Thaumas: 6DEX, WSD +2%, 6 storeTP Vs. 3STR, 2acc, 2att

2 other Thaumas: 5DEX, WSD +2%, 6 storeTP Vs. 4str, 2acc, 2att

So I would think that even with WSD+ only applying to 1st hit, Hakama should usually beat out Thaumas.

Compared to Khepri Kecks: WSD +2%, 6 storeTP, 12acc, 2att Vs. 4STR, 4DEX

This one is a little tougher because Khepri's Augment could kind of be the deciding factor. Hakama would probably win unless Khepri's DEX puts you in the dDEX sweet spot adding crit rate to the comparison.
According to BG, khepri's augment is WSD+3%. Like you said, tough choice.

Yeah with the Augment for Khepri being known now to be WSD +3%(Possibly 4 depending if the known 3 is nq or hq) the hierarchy is now:

Khepri Kecks (Augment Assumed) > Tenryu Hakama +1 > Thaumas Kecks

What really is very nice is that Khepri Kecks are pretty much best WS legs for Ascetic's, Shijin, and Smite.

Just Use a math formula too figure out the over all DMg percent increase on a 99 vere vs 90.

If your attacked is capped its a flat 5% DMg increase, if your atk is un capped its a 3.4% DMg increase. If your interested in how I came up with these numbers, pm me.

This is based off of Galla str and could be a decimal or two better for tarus, Mithras and humes

Now my Methods of math are ridiculous... So if ive made an error in the way i equate the % dmg increase feel free too correct me. (as you will anyways) Ill edit this post, give me 4 mins too put into a structure thats somewhat legible. lol

99 vere Is an additional 7 DMG and 5 STR vs 90 vere, so here i go..
i have 107 Base STR, 5 STR is a 4.6% increase.
440 H2H skill x 0.11 = 48 base H2H DMG +35 from 90 = 83 DMG
7DMG increase too 83 DMG is 8.5%

Finding the medium between 8.5% and 4.6% is 6.5% increase in DMG, However...

Im assuming that in order too be 6.5% My attack and crit rate would have too go up 6.5% as well, which it doesnt soo those are two out of 4 factors that apply too melee dmg (DMG,Crit,STR,Atk) 1/4 of 6.5% = 1.6%

so 6.5%-1.6% (because theres no crit enhancement) = 4.9% Increase if attack is capped.

If attack is un-capped its another 1.6% reduced too equal 3.3% Dmg increase over all.

Let the bashing begin. :D

how to really calculate dmg increase:
(somewhat simplified)
Melee dmg:
7 base dmg+ 5str increase (and an increase in wsrank).

Thus you will always gain 1 fstr so an 8 dmg increase from 90. You have 35+(440*.11+3)+fstr=86+fstr. Lets say you have 8fstr(it varies per mob so i'm just picking a quick number.

so its 101/94=1.07446809. A 7.4% dmg increase in melee dmg.

for WS we have (in my set):
VS adds 1wsrank, 5str and 7 base dmg
35+51+capped fstr(12)+VSstrwsc91=190 at 90
42+51+13+93=199

199/190=1.04736842. A 4.7% increase in wsdmg

The parse I happen to have open is a 40/60 tp/ws split from a pil.

so its 7.4*.4+4.7*.6=5.78 increase in dmg from 90>99vere. This Value goes up a miniscule (.01% miniscule) if you are not capped attack from the str, or as your fstr in tp phase goes down.

Edit, I had my numbers backwards

Wait, you mean you can't increase your critical hit rate by boosting your attack to lower the damage increase?

Been trying too justify dumping 230M on 99 vere. Spent 70M for Spharai and still debate with my self if it was worth it but whats done is done.

Don't worry. I'll figure it out for everyone.

I'll write a simulation of the universe in FORTRAN. As long as I get the initial conditions correct, if we let it run for long enough, it should generate an exact digital copy of our Galaxy, Solar System, the Earth, etc.

As such, it'll be inevitable that Square will form, and program FFXI within my simulation.

Eventually, someone will create Vere 99 and we won't have do calculate D%, we can just parse 90 and 99 against each other for real, concrete data.
