The launch of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn was somewhat chaotic.

The congestion of servers caused many access problems to the game when it came out a week ago, and sometimes PC and PS3 were not able to connect. Square Enix had to turn off sales of the digital version to stem the connection flow.

Today, Square Enix delivers its apologies and offers its MMORPG players an extra week of free access. They announced the next update will be today, Wednesday September 4.
a free week is nice. :c
