IVs are more or less mandatory for any stay in the hospital where you are admitted and under their care in case you need something administered during an emergency.
Problem is I have small, deep veins to the point where they don't even show up on a vein finder and I usually need ultrasound for my IV placement. They didn't bring in the ultrasound machine until afterward.
Arm probably going to hurt and be one giant purple bruise for the next couple of weeks. And tomorrow they'll want to draw blood twice cause I have an appy with the surgical oncologist and my regular oncologist.
