Quite frankly the entirely proposal would most likely require an entire mobile space station (not just a ship), and an entire team to operate it.
Get a team to draw up a research request, get grants and have some engineers get to work, see you in 30~ years.
I say this with no sarcasm and entirely from the "belief" that space is the final frontier and it is the future: prove us wrong.

Cowboy Bebop was 26 episodes, Mando is 8. After episode 3 it just fell off the map, what happened to his conclave? What happened to his backstory? The story just disappeared in favor of nostalgia.

Again: don't agree. Also leaving questions unanswered is literally how it hooks us, would you rather they solve it all right away? That's rather shitty storytelling of an overall arc. That'd be like Spike getting Julia killed halfway through instead of near the end.

Gotta go the entire opposite direction here. JJ clearly has / had exceptionally little creative vision for Star Wars. The Force Awakens and Rise of Skywalker are entirely forgetting films.
Rise of Skywalker has made me appreciate The Last Jedi far more, as well as Rian Johnson's vision for the Star Wars universe as a whole. Much more excited for his trilogy and the unified creative control he has over all three films. Ultimately, I lay the state of the sequel trilogy entirely on Lucasfilm for having no clear, unified, & compelling vision for story and character arcs.
Yeah, definitely don't agree with that conclusion. RJ should be booted entirely.
I found TFA and ROS to be entirely unfulfilling. TFA cgets a pass for some of its fan service to re-establish the the franchise, but it was ultimately a retread of A New Hope & the Death Star plot.
