I'm currently a level 40 Sith Juggernaut on Sword of Ajunta Pall server

so.. what server should i go for, it'll probably be a PvE server, im not a hardcore pvper, besides warzones and stuff

It will tell you the sever load when you are selecting your server so you can use that to help to decide if you want a highly populated or not, you can also freely create characters on other servers so if you don't like the one you pick can just restart on another.

Game any good? I cant seem to find any decent reviews.

It's interesting so far (@lv12)...

The classes all seem to work our with alot of variety. For example you could pick consalor then chose shadow as your specialization and then it branches out further through skill trees by making yourself either a melee DD or tank or a bit of both. On the other hand you could pick sage and then build as a healer or force based DD. Each base class also has a 60min buff (like a 6 second recast) which stacks with the buff from other classes so you benefit from diversity in the group.

The convo system is interesting as well, if you are doing a main story mission other players will simply watch you as you go through the convo. If it is a group mission however you each lot an option and the winning lot is the player that speaks. With light/darkside choices I think it awards them based off the option you lotted not whoever won the lot so you don't have to worry about other players messing with you on that. It does however seem to lead to different outcomes. The one I was doing Nothing of consequence in the spoiler just did it in case people want nothing at all spoiled.

I'm personally waiting till the end of the 30 days before I make any final judgements (havn't done any crafting or PvP yet) but it seems promising so far.

Do you have firefox with noscript on? noscript makes it like that, problem with taking it off is there's a font script that makes firefox not respond several times, takes a few mins for it to sort itself out before you can carry on (then does it again for the next 2 steps.) Had to load up internet explorer just to get through that subscription bit ¬_¬

Also anyone experiencing bad FPS should try turning shadow quality completely off, its a bug with shadows apparently, and fixed the choppyness completely for me.

So they can ban you for getting high level loot but being underleveled? >.> wth. Why not level cap the area? of course someone is gonna freakin explore/loot the world(s?).. its a mmo.. This game seems lame.. :/

The game is pretty good but this kind of MMO is so limited when it comes to playing with others during the leveling phase. It really feels like playing KOTOR, in better, with random people crossing my path, that's it.

Region servers is the worst idea ever when it comes to getting things done, I have to solo every single Heroïc due to not being able to play during normal hours... and as Juggernaut it's not a pleasure to do so :( (*** you, Vette).

Hopefully endgame is more interesting in term of teamplay, I really like the fast pace.

Quite surprised by the ban SS. I have looted many things while being extremely underleveled and I didn't get anything O_o

The only thing I could think of with the looting would be that chests almost always have aggro mobs around them which would meen they might have been waiting for others to attack the mobs then grabbing the chest while they were still fighting. So it would come down to more of a harassment thing then anything

Wow... That's some serious epic fail on their part. First of all, if that is actually in their ToS I'd love to see it (you can't obtain high level gear before you're supposed to!). Second of all, that's not even an exploit. In fact, that's usually how MMOs function. You get the high level gear and level into it. The people who made this game must be full-blown retard.

Game was made by Bioware so if they have even the slightest word in the policy, the game being more or less a copy pasta of Mass Effect, they think they are dealing with an offline game except it's called Star Wars.

Which would explain the feeling this game gives 90% of the time (read: when you are not on the Imperial Fleet, for example).

I've been on vacation since the release of the game on the 20th but I've been reading the TOR forums to keep up with what is happening. I am really glad right now that I have not registered the game. I think I'll give BioWare a few months to smooth things out before I do.

I like region servers, that way I dont have to stay up to 2-5am in the morning to do endgame where I won't get anything :D
If you have bad time zones, you can choose American servers, too. :P

Worse, I have a flexible work. At the moment I can only play past 1h but next week, for example, it will be during the day.

Seeing 3-30 people on Balmorra everytime I play and none of them wanting to do any Heroïc is just plain retarded :/

Think I'm gona grab this game today (need to let voidstones recharge). I did CBT on it about 2 months before release and thought it was cool. I pretty much know its a single player game with multiplayer elements going in. But how is the actual "real life" community?

I guess that'd be a server based question, on mine The Courageous there's always someone 'shouting' to do a heroic or team up for something or other. I like the community so far.
