Star Wars The Old Republic

Maybe its the immersion thing mentioned before. As far as I'm aware, the free-to-play talk is just a rumor at this point. Bioware has been pretty reserved with releasing any concrete numbers concerning how many subscriptions they currently have. And even then, since they offer multi-month subscriptions that may appear "active" when they've already been cancelled, all the figures I've seen recently have been only speculation.
I can say, from a player's perspective, during the past month or so (following the server transfers) the population has *felt* more stable than it has since release. Though, that's not really worth much, I know. Personally, I think the game is just going through its initial growing pains. If they can achieve some decent class balance (one major reason people have been complaining and unsubbing), and keep rolling out content at a reasonable pace, they should come out as a competitor. about god damn time

Though players that already have it but stop sub for f2p will probably still have it. i think i'll play again when it's f2p I still think it would have been a better idea to do KOTOR 3.
I'll stay subscribed since I'm in one of my servers best raiding guilds. Limiting access is just lame imo, either go full F2p or don't.
I never played it, think I might try it now when it goes F2P.
is Bounty Hunter still the way to go? or did the game get some kind of balance between classes?

Bounty Hunter dominated group pvp from launch and was very strong 1v1 if it didn't get 1shot by a pre-nerf Op. Death From Above was the most ridiculous skill. Most of the BG's you had no place to line of sight, and on Illum most fights took place out in the open. BH was near the top in damage and preferred for most raids because they were ranged DPS and took less damage then marauders and Ops in melee range. How they are now, I don't know. I quit 4 months after launch. Pyro BH is the best pvp dps spec, healer BH are awesome. Tracer spam is just lold at now.
I made it to level 13 before shutting it down, twas lame. Never interacted with the community, the free trial model had a lot of limitations, some made sense, others didnt, I might check it out again next year.

LINK ME INAPINA >:3 Quote: There’s something out there: a juggernaut of evil bearing down to crush the Republic— unless one lone Jedi, shunned and reviled, can stop it. Revan: hero, traitor, conqueror, villain, savior. A Jedi who left Coruscant to defeat Mandalorians—and returned a disciple of the dark side, bent on destroying the Republic. The Jedi Council gave Revan his life back, but the price of redemption was high. His memories have been erased. All that’s left are nightmares—and deep, abiding fear. What exactly happened beyond the Outer Rim? Revan can’t quite remember, yet can’t entirely forget. Somehow he stumbled across a terrible secret that threatens the very existence of the Republic. With no idea what it is, or how to stop it, Revan may very well fail, for he’s never faced a more powerful and diabolic enemy. But only death can stop him from trying. And the second one is Deceived Quote: The second novel set in the Old Republic era and based on the massively multiplayer online game Star Wars®: The Old Republic™ ramps up the action and brings readers face-to-face for the first time with a Sith warrior to rival the most sinister of the Order’s Dark Lords—Darth Malgus, the mysterious, masked Sith of the wildly popular “Deceived” and “Hope” game trailers. Malgus brought down the Jedi Temple on Coruscant in a brutal assault that shocked the galaxy. But if war crowned him the darkest of Sith heroes, peace would transform him into something far more heinous—something Malgus would never want to be, but cannot stop, any more than he can stop the rogue Jedi fast approaching. Her name is Aryn Leneer—and the lone Knight that Malgus cut down in the fierce battle for the Jedi Temple was her Master. And now she’s going to find out what happened to him, even if it means breaking every rule in the book. Edit: Revan is definetly a gap bridger, the second one idk if it helps to bridge it or if it is just a side story. Revan book is totally worth the read.

I havn't seen a list of what costs how much yet but I would it is probably around the area or pay subscription or don't bother... ![]() (Prefered status is 350k) Ramuh.Sagittario said: » I still think it would have been a better idea to do KOTOR 3. ^ This! Edit: wiki says Obsidian made it at bioware's suggestion... interesting how we chalk that up to bioware. F2P... essentially means to them "You still have to pay, or you get to just walk around and do almost jack ***"
Granted i'll play through the rest of the story, and I may sub for a few months ... but doubtful. Worst F2P model out there. No thanks EA.
The credit cap is ridiculous, I've finished a few characters with more than a million credits already. They restricted a lot, way more than they should have, imo. But they feel if people play then they'll want to play more. Which as I've seen isn't the case, poor engine, poor balance of updates, nerf bats plus buff bats to the wrong classes. I only play because I love pvp, although the CC in the game is beyond painful.
