The reason I bring up these points is because there is a counter for everything
Saying "A goblin grenade will sort out everything" isn't really a valid argument because there is a way to get out of any situation
With your argument every card is useless

I'm primarily a black discard player so I'd counter it with This bahahaha
Oh certainly everything has a counter. I'm just saying that something that is that obvious of a threat is likely to get hit with whatever your opponent has on hand. That your opponent isn't likely to let such a card see a second turn to use that cool firebreathing ability if they can help it, whereas lesser critters might squeak by unhindered as they hold onto their kill cards waiting for a more obvious threat to show up.

It didn't break. I just used to have a Keldon warlord deck
(similar to this: http://www.magicdeckvortex.com/DDB/warlord_deluxe.htm )
They're decks that thrive around buffs for many 1/1 creatures and cards that buff many small creatures. He works good with black decks too (many 1/1 token cards).

Wow, the memories... I played this for a longish time with friends, from about 4th edition untillllll.... hmm. I think most of us quit around the time Weatherlight was just coming out. All the comments about coin-flip decks made me lol though. That was one of my best friends' favorite things to build his decks around; that and 'random' effects like:
