Tera Online

Agree seems like a fun game so far. After tryed one of the beta weekends, I'm deffently gonna try this some more. And special after not getting that hooked on RIFT when it came out, I'm looking forward to this TERA MMO and see if any better. But in the end all look alike in different versions.

But as Prothescar said looks like a WoW clone, well yes and no.
Some parts are defently taken from the WoW concept, but from my point of view alot of things also comes/taken from AION MMO. But I don't like the interface module how you engage the mobs at this point, I hiope they will do some better things on thoose areas. But graphic is pretty neet and the charter creation is pretty okay. Playing an Aman/Berserker atm using a 2-handed Gaxe.

So to make it short, looking forward to see what more to come from Tera :)

I'm in =3, got an Elin Lancer on Frost Reach named Shayka, didn't screenshot her though =/, looks just like the one I had in the CBT's.

hawt, i'll def be playing during the open beta, if i like it i'll buy it.

my brother was in the closed beta via preorder for a month or so now. he likes it alot, i watched him do a dungeon. looks like a great game thus far lol.

I got to play the during the beta and I have to say it was pretty fun. Had to play on my PC that can barely run it so it was pretty low res and laggy at times, but hoping I can get a better PC in a few months.

I really like the combat style while finding it a lot like Monster Hunter almost, where you can dodge attacks and it's not "Monster Acc vs your Evasion" kind of situation. Where you can't just "Afk attack spam ws/abilities to be top DD".

My main concern for this game is people losing interest having to grind exp to level up, and that people will become bored half way through and lose interest.

I'm updating my Tera client now. Had to uninstall the core XI game to make room for it on my SSD. I'll have to live without XI for the weekend, lol.

I'm definitely in for the weekend OB And I just realized it starts at noon PST on Friday, so I will be able to rest up after I get out of work that morning. Bonus. If I enjoy this game, I'll definitely be buying it. May will be an expensive month between Tera/Diablo III and buying more PC parts.

Is there a server that a lot of XI people are gathering on?

I'm rather excited to get in game and see how it plays. I'll be trying the Beta this weekend, and if I like it enough, I'll probably buy it.
Still cant really decide on a race though. I'm thinking a High Elf because the females look so nice. I just hope they aren't crazy tall. Elin are cute, but again with the pedobear aspect... but they also look too childish to me (odd since I play a taru, but they are cute in a different kind of way!)

Anywho, I'm excited! I've been playing XI for 8 years now, so it will always have a special place in my heart. But Tera looks delicious.

I'm considering pre-ordering exclusively for the fact that I can create my character ahead of time.

I also spent about an hour and a half this morning reading the new things on the website.. and I found myself with that same "excitement" that I had when I read about XI after pre-ordering the PS2 HDD. It's the first time I can say I've been truly in anticipation for an MMO as much as I was for XI. I tried with XIV, but all of the bad press combined with the craptastic open beta ruined the excitement for me.

Of all the reviews I've read, I've seen very little negative mentioned about Tera, and those negative things are normal, regular aspects in the early stages of an MMO. An example would be semi-bland stats on early sets of gear. Anyone that has played through XI, can tell you about bland looking gear/stats. >.>

Two more days, and I guess I'll find out how diverse and different Tera really is.

I really tried to get into this but i just couldn't :( Removing the game from my system now... deff not for me.

yea...i'm having a hard time getting into it -.-;

mostly because the controls are *** >.> and theres no real way to customize them to your needs (as far as i can tell)

i'm way too accustomed to playing games with a controller :x

You can play it with a controller though <.< I'm not sure for keyboard options, if you can control exactly where say, attacks/spells are placed, but they do allow keyboard shortcuts to be changed for everything else.

On serpentis Isle as well.

Playing with a couple other linkshell members and really enjoying it.

Don't think it will ever replace ffxi, but the graphics and gameplay provide a refreshing occasional break from HMP farming or <insert your current large ffxi project here>

oh sorry i should have been more clear.

i played it with a controller, and it doesn't let you swap out the buttons at all, or at the very least fix the horrible camera controls that it mapped to the analog sticks. like i literally could not see ***. it was annoying lol. had to get through the beginner mode with mouse + kb.

this since the highlight of my ffxi day is 2hrs of dyna > bazaaring > buying needed currency lol

Personally I will gladly promote Tera to anybody, stunning STUNNING visuals, slick gameplay, brilliant combat dynamics. Very very impressed :3

Pretty much this. Loving this game so far. Very well polished for launch too. It has been out for a year in Korea though I guess, so they've had time to prepare.

Having to reinstall. Beat worked fine, then I applied my Preorder and Day Release codes....and the launcher stopped working completely :/
