Tera Online
Looks too imbalanced for me to try :/
Bismarck.Faelar said: » Having to reinstall. Beat worked fine, then I applied my Preorder and Day Release codes....and the launcher stopped working completely :/ Works fine now, no issues. It wasn't my PC, it was TERA, GM confirmed it via live chat. LV22 SLayer now :P
Lokaris - Frost Reach - Guild: Sin Damn ya should Of came to serpatine isle :p
Been playing Tera for about 4 days now.
Totally love the gameplay. Combat system is refreshing to the MMO world and the smooth UI and interactions make it enjoyable. Questing is just like other MMO's but the rest of the game feel unique and fresh. The world is more beautiful when you can max the settings out and see it with your own eyes. It also appears to be pretty large. Try it, You'll like it! I am on Blightwood server :P I've been eyeballing tera for awhile, and recently my husband bought it for me as a surprise. I can't wait to play it! We just moved and don't yet have internet hooked up, so I have to be patient. This thread gets me psyched up for it even more though! Can't wait! I think I'm going to be a human, but I haven't decided on a job yet. Sorcerer, mystic, or priest? I like magic classes better than melee, I learned in ffxi. So one of those for sure. I am so excited! :D

I am so excited! :D I like all of them but i prefer the sorcerer. later on he gets a skill that lets him cast spells even faster, thats when sorc starts to shine. only downside is that i hoped for more elements than just ice and fire (and arcane or w/e that is) Odin.Liela said: » I've been eyeballing tera for awhile, and recently my husband bought it for me as a surprise. I admit tho I am enjoying this game more than I did my first 2 years of XI I play Warrior. Its the a fast action job.
I'm also on Serpentis Isle. My main is an Elin Sorcerer, same name as my XI character.
Guys.... Tera is no joke. Probably one of the best MMO's Ive played. For sure the Best UI I have seen in a game to date.
Combat style makes FFXI and FFXIV look like a boring joke! I played ffxi for 6 years... And have had more fun in 20+ hours of Tera then in the last few years of FFXI. Seriously... I thought so at first as well, now I'm burnt out already.
I picked up the game a few days ago and I'm fairly enjoying it so far.
It's ridiculously pretty, and the game-play reminds me of Monster Hunter (which I love) crossed with a MMO. Here's my slayer, and I'm on freeholds if anyone else is. ![]() More pictures: too bad ya not on serpintis island :x
I'm on Serpentis Isle. My name is Jessielynn, I run around with a guy named Rues. But we probably won't be back on for a few days at least. We're both humans, he's a warrior and I'm a sorcerer. It's really fun so far! But we're still just running around doing little quests for people. Massacre fairies in the forest indeed.
if ya looking for a guild im in Radiance, sure theyd accept ya
Complete re-install after each new patch because the patch breaks the launcher...yay............
Weird, every patch I've updated has run smoothly.
Could it have something to do with your firewall causing difficulties with the change in program? I know zonealarms likes throwing up warnings and messages post-patches to the point where I leave it on game mode to supress them. I have COMODO Internet Security Premium, its set to Game Mode at all times. Then I havn't the faintest idea whats causing it.
Are you re-downloading everything each time they release a patch ? That must take hours >.>; Fenrir.Aleste said: » Then I havn't the faintest idea whats causing it. Faelar, your computer does not want you to play anything >.>
Bismarck.Cicada said: » Faelar, your computer does not want you to play anything >.> My PC isn't bad, its my roommates' PC that's terrible. I'm surprised it hasn't BSOD'd in the last week. I'm not sure if it'll work in your circumstance, but at least it'll get you past that stupid 8-9 hour download...
When I finished downloading the first time, I copied the Tera directory onto a portable hard-drive (because my brother wanted to try it). He went online, downloaded the installer off their webpage and installed the launcher. Afterwards, he pasted all the files I had downloaded onto his Tera directory and opened the launcher again and it skipped the download (although, it did stop to check files, which only took ~20 minutes). Although after it does download the update patch again (~15-20 minute depending on patch size). If anything it's worth a shot to skip that stupid long digital download... I dont have a portable harddrive, but i could just keep a copy of the files in another location of my HDD? Copy/Pasting is MUCH faster xD It should work, it's worked on my brothers and girlfriends computer so far...
Picture dump: (because I take a lot of pictures damn it!) Fenrir.Aleste said: » Picture dump: (because I take a lot of pictures damn it!) I just finished up that area the day before this patch. Atrocitas was fun to kill :D Now we're in Cutthroat Harbor (*coughBootyBaycough*) and the surrounding area. I'd post my screenshots but they were deleted by the TERA install :/ I've mostly been taking it slow, doing all the quests in order from outpost to outpost...
I've been playing with a few friends from up the road, and they're fairly enjoying it too, trouble is, it's hard to get us all on at once. Eh need to do the BAMs in cutthroat, and it seems I bypassed several basilisk crag quests on accident <,<
