I Cant Connect To Ah.com Via Pc

you should be able to send PM's on your phone after I said something to Scragg about it a few months ago.

can you tether your phone to connect via it instead of your internet connection?

what kind of modem do you have?

Cable modem never tried hard wiring my phone to the net, problem I encounter with pm's is the screen frets out but never brings up the pm box or w/e you call it, text box? I'll see what happens if I direct connect via my phone.

this is a rare and extreme condition but, if you have AT&T uverse w/ the NVG510 modem, you may experience an IP diagnostic problem where it blocks random websites and will only be fixed by a firmware update at an unknown time. if you dont have that exact condition then i dont know. (fyi thats i do for work if that seemed seriously off subject)

I'm with comcast, ironically there is a service outage and I can not test the direct connect thing with my phone.

As for the model of my cable modem its an ubee... What the frell is the model number?! D3.0? Only other number on it says its a part number: DDM3513 (been doing a farscape marathon... well unrolled my internet went down)

basically there should be a way you can access your modem's status page by typing it's IP address in your browser's bar.

basically the IP that it shows you is the one you need to know to give to Scragg.

i got a idea it may be a bit of a pain but go over av friends for like 10mins log on to your account and then send the pm.

again i know this may be a pain but it sounds like a good idea.

also i want to let u know if u do not know how to open your router on the internet so that u can check your firmware,then i just need to know what os u have and then i can try to help u get your routers ip so that u can open the right page and see if this works.


this is more or less how u do it seeing as someone covered what i said before i forgot to read that,anyway. open start-accessories-command prompt-then put in ip config all one word and the gate way ip is what u put in the url bar to open the page u want.

Modem or router? Was unaware I could log into my modem router style.

Also I know where on my router to look up my Ip if needed.

give it a few days, you'll be back to normal and able to connect. It's not the ah.com's side, it's your internet provider's side.

This is what was told to me when it happened to me a few months ago.

It's already been a few days, it was a few days when I started the thread.

So I upgraded my firmware, still nada, my phone won't pass through for some reason, however I did widow connect, phone can't access ah.com through my router now can some one freaking contact scragg for me please please please I just want to lurk the lol pictures thread again gods don't work on phone T.T

Talked to scragg, gave him my Ip, wasn't the issue, tried a few of his suggestions, talked to my isp, I'be tried most if not all the suggestions people have made in this thread, nothing has helped so far.

Jic I didn't mention, direct connecting my phone via pc would not work proper, I did.co.next to my router via wifi though and was unable to connect to ah.

were you connected to the internet otherwise?

because if your isp and your phone won't bring up the site, but will connect to other sites, it's your computer.

your router should only show it's IP table which isn't your modem's IP.

did you ever check your hosts file?

My phone will not via my router via wifi, northern will any of my room mates computers connect, direct connection to the modem does not help, and I upgraded my firmware jic as suggested previously.

Sorry jet, I don't know what you mean by checking host files. Also I can see my actual Ip from my router verified by using a few sites, also got my modems Ip address from isp, not too sure what I can get from my modem however, I accidently cleared the event log, not that I knew how tp make heads or tails of it.

ah then it's your isp, *** slap them or find a proxy.

it may be hidden and you need admin privileges to edit it (so open like notepad as admin then open it) assuming you're on windows 7.

there shouldn't be much in there but if you see something strange let us know, now I forget is the site not loading at all or redirecting?

Not loading at all, and my isp had no clue, ill look into that file, but would make no sense if that was the reason considering my phone loses access when going through my router, also well guess ill wiki but never done the whole proxy thing.

Mind giving me a lay man's break down of way it is/does?

x.x well nvm i ended up downloading TOR, and this is my f'n computer ima call up my isp and hurt somebody i think now.

i just want to point out be very careful if u touch any thing in the host files ok,i forget what host files work 4 someone told me once before

more or less what i was told is never touch host files unless u really really need 2.

best thing i could think of after reading all this is that u should ask someone who knows more about computers then u that u trust and ask them to take a look at it for u.

but ya it is sounding more and more like it is something wrong with your computer have u tryed from one of the other computers on your network.

So finally got my isp to look into the issue, posting from my phone again, proxy thing works and all but is touch and go, variable speed and drops the connection from time to time.

I ended up using a freeware program to set it up since I have no clue how to do the proxy thing on my own, tried to find a layman's guide/wiki/for dummies.

In any case given that I can connect via a proxy any new ideas or suggestions or even processes of elimination I can run through, this is one hell of abit fustrating.

btw if u do not work with us we cant help u.

the hosts file is pretty simple, you can't really screw stuff up in there unless you know how.

in fact you can delete it and it will recreate itself.

Kawar in what way am I not working with talk, host files nothing, firm ware updated, cookies cleaned, phone wifi can't connect, room mates computers can't connect, direct line to modem from pc can't connect, as much I've said several times over.

There are a few other things I've tried as suggested by scragg and a few others I don't remember all suggestions so far I've tried.

As far as my isp: comcast I've gotten jack from them other than its not an issue with them, and last time they put in a trouble call and have techs looking into it call back in 24-48 hours, that was right before my last post.

Since I'm out of the loop any more I downloaded one of those Ip mask type freeware programs if I am to understand properly it functions as a proxy, that is the one and only way so far that let's me connect to ah.com, given that I have tried everything else in this thread and that a proxy works, any new untried ideas as to what the source of or method of resolution might be.
