The Beast Within -- A Guide to Blue Mage
I just threw like 150 fern stones onto Herc Body, seems the DW cap is not 5, but 6. That makes things a bit interesting
STP for Tizona AM3, DA for everything else. If you're employing both Tizona and Almace as mainhands with any frequency I'd probably go for DA, since it's a little more flexible in situations where you're holding TP for skillchains and gives you a better WS piece for Savage/Expi/Req in the meantime.

Changed the fern augment listed from 5 to 5-6. Fenrir.Nightfyre said: » STP for Tizona AM3, DA for everything else. Does the margin between the two have any sizable ammount? I would just go for DA then. Doing the WS one first lol
And was hoping for TA +4 6 DW Herc is a thing yeah, it's just awkward because it's a relatively poor trade (vs 4 TA) relative to what we can do in other slots.

So pretty much ditch my lupan cape unless i need accuracy for the DA one this month and pick up the STP one in a month. Sound reasoning I think. Thanks :D I already said I was making crit first before the smart people confirmed it Lol, don't appologize I seriously recommend to make a crit cape first. The damage boost that it provides for CDC is relatively massive. It won't beat DA or STP capes for TP, but it will provide a larger benefit overall while coming fairly close to the other two.
I see that tiny text. Apologies. Congrats Uncle Jesse!
Congrats!
And are we even sure we can make another cape next month? I mean, we probably can, but I am under the impression we could get different accessories to augment next month, and I'd think cape comes back after the rotation ends? Wouldn't that make much sense? Thanks!
I assume the armor you can buy will change. Like, next month may be Morrigans set I know they'll be changing armor sets, and it's highly likely this is their Salvage 3.0 release, so we'll be seeing Marduk's, Morrigan, Usukane, and Skadi soon. I am going to be so cranky when Skadi is released with disgustingly good stats and we're not on it.
As for changing accessories, I'm not so sure they will, at least not soon. I'm hoping they eventually either release new ones, such as rings, earrings, ammo, or change the capes to them. But I think they'll give us time to make our own collection before they do. Obviously speculation, so we'll have to see. You may be right. One month may not be enough.
We'll see. For now I'm torn on my cape choice, seeing as my 2nd one will be for BLM. I believe I will go for the Crit cape, though. On another note, Arrapago Remnants will finally stop being an annoying hassle and I will get my Afterglow today. 3 days wait for that, terrible. Leviathan.Stamos said: » ![]() Success! Are the capes this easy to get and max out augments so little after its release? KnifeKatRengar said: » Leviathan.Stamos said: » ![]() Success! Are the capes this easy to get and max out augments so little after its release? Yes, 300 points a quick VD dragon run and it is 500 for the cape, 100/200 for the items you need 20/20/10 of. So a cape max is 6,500 or 22 runs. Which goes by fast. If you do the orcs on VD it is 600. Worst part is the zone congestion. On another note, goodbye Grounded Mantle +1. I never did content where I didn't have GEO/COR/BRD Buffing me, so I never got the grounded mantle, so I am glad I didnt waste time on it. I might still get it for a mule, however. But considering these capes, heh. lol
Glad to know about 22 runs gets you it. That just solo, or you get more points the more people you're with etc?* It's just faster with more people, points depend on difficulty.
I generally solo D and do VD in groups, I like it when it moves faster :P Asura.Keaddo said: » ![]() ![]() Today was a good day~ Now with this cape kicking out rancorous mantle I wonder if Begruding ring + Hetairoi ring would be best or with Epona's... Also...Don't you get more tp back from a critical hit verses a normal hit? Is it possible that putting critical hit rate gear into a tp set would also facilitate faster tp gain? Is that an avenue that has been investigated? I for some reason want to remember seeing more tp return on crits back in my 75 rdm days vs normal hits. My mistake. Asura.Calatilla said: » Takisan said: » Now with this cape kicking out rancorous mantle I wonder if Begruding ring + Hetairoi ring would be best or with Epona's... What about Rancor Collar vs ele gorget? Given that Oraen specifically mentioned using the ring with the cape. I am going to assume that means ele gorget and ring is a better combo than collar and another ring. That being said where does this leave epona and hetaroi vs epona and ramuh +1 vs either of those and begrudging and eponas and begrudging? Another question: Is Sequence in the mainhand better than Tanmogayi +1? Asura.Floppyseconds said: » Another question: Is Sequence in the mainhand better than Tanmogayi +1? I tested this out in the spreadsheet and it is. fTP transfers on CDC, gorget/belt > all.
Begrudging + Epona's is easily your best CDC combo with DEX/crit Rosmerta's, hitrate permitting. Hetaroi is strictly for TP now. Asura.Floppyseconds said: » Another question: Is Sequence in the mainhand better than Tanmogayi +1? So the orcs are pretty soloable on BLU, even on D/VD?
I went in on 119, and got killed pretty fast - but that was with no strategy, no buffs, and /THF, because I didn't really care. I just summoned trusts, and attacked the BLM. Getting in has been too much of a PITA, so I haven't bothered since. Sylph.Parshias said: » Asura.Floppyseconds said: » Another question: Is Sequence in the mainhand better than Tanmogayi +1?
