Need new x360 games - help!
Bored of my current games, any recommendations?
---- Current: PGR 3/4 Race Pro Forza 2 Assassin's Creed Ninja Gaiden 2 Left 4 Dead Fear 2 ---- Help my sanity. So besides racers, apparantly. xD Posting your favorite genre of games would be helpful. :) Otherwise I can just blurt out something like my little pony.
Friends won't stop talking about Fallout 3, but that's just reference. No clue about it myself, but it's supposedly craaaazy. RE5 on the other hand I have played, and it's good stuff. Either one should keep you busy for awhile. lol
Evilswine said: Fable 2 Forgot to list that. Loved the game. As for genres, I like racing, pew-pewing, action, etc... Don't like football/basketball/whatever else kind of sport ones, only motorsports. Planning on getting Ace Combat 6 whenever >< Burnout Revenge is awesome if you like racers, hell yeah.
RPG I would go with Infinate Undiscovery or Lost Odyssey. Lost had a better story, Infinate gameplay imo. Shooters, Call of Duty 4. Can't go wrong with that. Skip over World at War though. Shooter again, Bioshock. One player, no online, but one of the best titles made for 360/PS3. ..shooter AGAIN, if you like to be scared a little, Dead Space. I jumped quite a few times playing in the dark at 2 AM. For a more open game, and for cheap, try Lost Planet. I got a kick out it for $16 bucks. Edit: Ace Combat 6 was good, but 5 beat the ***out of it. Plus, the online sucks. Horribly. Note taken, plan on getting myself games after buying boyfriend's present
AC6 was good but I still think 4 was teh best. It had a better fel to it.
Try Mass Effect. I liked it alot. Last Remenant was ok. I will agree with Dead Space for Shooters and teh story. I played both the PS3 and 360 versions. Gears of War is ok but the online play gets tiring. Also for shooter, try Eat Lead. I've been playing it the past week and laughed my *** off. Racer wise- Stay away from Need for Speed:Undercover. If there ever was a crappy NFS, This is it. CoD4 and World at War were both good to me. Though I havent tried it I hear Hawx was also good for Flight Sim. BioShock 2, Brutal Legend, Street Fighter
Need for Speed Most Wanted.
By far the best NFS game released in quite a while. Get that if you're bored! I loved working my way up the blacklist again from days of old Xbox. Also, on the arcade side, N+. Looks pointless but is completely addictive. As is the Geometry Wars series. And yes. Burnout Paradise. Pwn. Rowland said: Well there's your problem.. You play shitty games. At least get burnout revenge if you're into racing. Blue Dragon, Infinite Undiscovery, Star Ocean, Gears of War, I dont remember what else I liked. Blue Dragon was quite addictive, despite the 'kid like' annoyance of the main characters dialogue lol Get a SNES emulator. Problem solved and you will never be bored with games again!
Oblivion + Post-Apocalyptic Future + Iconic 50s Style + Guns + mutants = Fallout 3
So, if you like any of the above, yeah, go for Fallout 3. Dead Space, Resident Evil 4, Call of Duty: World at War. Those are some hot shooting games right there.
I'm suprised noone has mentioned Halo <.< All 3 of them are fun and will play on your 360.
Dead Space, Mirrors Edge, Resident Evil 5, The Orange Box (Portal) are some of my recomendations. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is great. Call of Duty: World at War is awesome too. Nazi Zombies = win.
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is coming out soon, thats supposed to be one of the biggest of the year. Get Mirror's Edge. You won't regret it.
Also, if you're a fan of the 7-10 era of Final Fantasy games, you'll love Lost Odyssey. It's very reminiscent of Final Fantasy 7, with one of the best soundtracks I have ever heard in a game, or anywhere for that matter. Oshi. I actually forgot about Mirror's Edge. But that's a great game. Don't get Orange Box though on the 360. It's such a better game for the PC and the requirements aren't insane.
And Halo 3 is all right... But it is just not as great as people make it out to be. They really didn't change a whole lot through the series in making the game better or the campaign mode decent. Halo 3 is Halo 2 just with accessories now. =\ Excesspain said: Get a SNES emulator. Problem solved and you will never be bored with games again! Yes! I've been playing old-school games like all month out of nostalgia. Pilotwings music stuck in my head now. lol Besides nostalgia, you can also play a ton of games that were never released in the US. Tales of Phantasia, Star Ocean, U.N. Squadron and Uniracers will keep you plenty busy. lol ..and I guess the Lion King. :v halo wars. and whenever ODST comes out get that too.
Thanks Everyone, I've c/p'd a list, cut a few, just need an order now.
--- AC6 Dead Space cheap NFSs Fallout 3 CoDs Mirror's Edge Lost Odyssey RE5 (just to scare me at night) Burnout Star Ocean Halo3 - 3 prolly cause good friends play ----------------------------------------- I wanted to get portal for PC anyways, just never had time. Bioshock can bororw, yay ------------------------ Thanks again :) Oh, and I've done the snes, and GBA, played lotsa pokemon. Good picks, the portal flash/song from VG cats will be all the more enjoyable now. lol
