Gil I can make over time, there are alot of items that I believe I can get over time as well, but Dring is one of those things where I just never see myself ever getting one, so It isn't really non-sense to me, I can make gil, I can't make Drings.

Well. If rank 1 is a pretty penny worth of gil, I'd get the gil no question. I have a 75 PLd and that Dring looks super tempting...but then I'd still be broke. I would take the gil. Why? "Give a man a fish, he'll eat for a day. Teach a man to fish, he'll eat for a lifetime." Use the gil to do Goldsmithing til 100. That way with some time, I can have anything this game can offer, instead of one instant gratification I'll get over in a week.

i'd start by buying salvage armor mats and finish up my marduk stuffs and start morrigan body, maybe ares for my mannequine lol. get myself a KC is just a given, *maybe start* a relic... Claustrom or even Mjollnir just for my love of Norse mythology lol. I'd hook my friends up as well, give out between 100k-500k or help them buy something that they need/been saving for... I'd probally give away a lot as well to anyone that ive seen looking like they need a gear upgrade.

Everyone seems to say they'd upgrade a relic.. Even if the prize is 100m, thats only half of what you'd need isnt it? Its been awhile since I've done the math to see what relics cost.. what are they down to now? Specifically Kikoku and spharai

Yeah, I know. I was going off the examples of gil totals they gave as I figured they'd have a better outline of numbers involved than I would in calculating it. In the end though, it's a gamble on choosing gil. It can be substantially higher or way lower. The imp.ingot, at least on my server, would be the safer bet for those not too keen on taking that gamble and possibly missing out on more.

The rank 1 prize would definitely bump the progress quite a bit but wouldn't complete anyone's relic alone. Unless of course billions of gil go into the lottery with minimal rank 1 winners. Who knows, gil prize on that could be close to 200mil.. or closer to 50mil if less participate lol
So that relic calculator says 105-130mil on my server, based on prices I know I can get them for. fyi
Relic is also only partly money, the availability of dyna currency and the high end crafted materials are also factors. You could theoretically have the super-chunk-cha-ching amount of gil of 10000M, but without the market for goods, your SOL. Even still, I'm fairly positive you could make it a great distance shouting in laggate that your willing to snag everyones currency... and buying out the dirt market in Rolanberry.
I dunno, 100's are pretty common, a good dynamis run will almost always get at least 1 per run as a minimum, average in my old shitty shell was prolly about 2-3 hundred's per run, times that by the how many other shells do dynamis per week and that's a ***-load of 100's out there that people are selling.
