Title says it all ;)

How were your lights built up when you were trying for the TH sash and Konschat rings/hairpin?

Got mine while farming Briareus NMs for Almace. We actually got 3 in one day. It was freaky weird but I'm not complaining.

Personally, I wouldn't bother raising azure unless you're just slow at building amber. I've always preferred to get the appropriate amber light, then just wreak havoc until I time out.

i got mine with all the lights capped. I found that the jeweled collars with Fast cast is more rare than the TH sash.

what Josiahfk is very much ideal. It just really depends how you plan on farming them and what methods, and if TE will become a problem, etc etc etc. Since I blu burn, I have no choice but to cap azure, which will eat into the percentage of boxes. But at least I can farm comfortably, with plenty of TE and even leveling a mule or ls mate.

I would also strive for 255 amber. As through my experience, I tend to see much better numbers or (quality) of augments with higher amber as opposed to keeping it around 100-128. 100-128 amber will keep the gold chests small which is great for farming Empy feet, items, ores, and avoid the KI chests. However the problem that I've encountered is your quality on the augs are very minimal. Perhaps Ebon at this point can help, but you'll need to either kill VWNM's (they guarantee pearl and ebon on melee kill) or get some ruby to help you build lights and get into ebon. Of course getting ruby will defeat the purpose, that is why it really depends on your methods.
I theorize that ebon may have some influence on the augs as you farm but thats just a wacky ancient aliens theory of mine.

Anyway, good luck!

I spent a whole day(16hrs) farming for my friends sash with 150 Amber, only getting random crappy augments. Decided to cap Amber and see how it went and got a TH sash about 3hrs into the next day. We stayed in zone overnight to save lights, plus we had over 20hrs of time remaining.

Could of just finally got lucky but it seems the best way is to cap lights and have a lot of patience.

Low lights (less than 120) are only good for farming Empy feet. If you're looking for good augments, capped lights are the way to go. To emphasize my previous post, capping azure will allow you to STAY in the zone longer, but it may also require you to BE in the zone longer. Personal preference though, as having to zone in/out to reraise amber and refresh time will require more actual time as well.

I randomly got mine in a worm party. Probably the luckiest I have ever been in my entire life. Now, if I could get the same to happen with a wivre hairpin in a lizard party, I would never say anything bad about this game... for a while.

For augments, I usually cap amber and try to keep azure in the 130-150 range. "Try" being the keyword there because I always fail at doing that.

I've always assumed that capped amber means higher quality augments. I've gotten my 2 hairpins as well as 2 sets of PDT/MDT dark rings from capped amber. Sure KI's are annoying but I'd rather see less of the item I'm looking for with better augment chance than more of that item with crap.

Best mobs for CWing are those puks. They have a huge aggro radius, aggro sight AND sound, they link like mad and have really high movement speed. All of those qualities mean they're easy to gather and they won't depop while gathering. Their attacks are weak, if you kite with PDT/phalanx/cocoon they'll barely hit you for 10-15 damage. One CW with decent gear can kill 20+ of em. Perfect mobs for la theine burning. Their TP moves are also weak.
