As for me I am not a follower, but I am more suited to be a leader of a rag tag small group of vagabonds than an army of SMNs. Since you insist I will try :p, but I am more understanding of what is said about the game than knowing its mechanics. Even if its not too complicated.

I mean I can't write my own spellcast (most of the people who do these things can :P), but I have learned a little, and modified the f uck out of Pro's for my BLU. I can take whatever is there and modify it, but ground up, egh.

EDIT: You can just call me Spicy, Blood. Being called Squishy unless I am actively playing Squishy at that time seems odd to me. Now Spicy has been with me for about a decade longer :P and feels more at home in my head.

I have been thinking about sever jumping. Lots of nice people here on the forums. And Spicy, I think you will do great with this thread.

That is a good idea. I hear you on the LVL0 SMN thing. I have finished a ton of missions and LVL'ed jobs since LC has been down.

Other than that there are only a few outdated items on the sets.

As for the ToM staves. I should probably just make a weapons page listing relevant weapons.

By the way what is the deal with Avatars holding no hate on BPs for awhile now? 7k BP and it gets pulled right off of them if you melee.

If you use the Tamaxchi (Club from WKR) and a Sors Shield with an with Either the Tempered cape or the Oretania's cape for a summoner's healing set you'll get more curing potential out of this setup then the other listed.

Those sets are the only remaining things outdated, and I likely would recommend the genbus shield over the Sors shield just IMO. There is so much gear to carry if you are going to bring physical bp gear, magical bp gear, curing gear, pdt gear, and melee gear. That shield for Genbu's is simply a place I would cut down on inventory, but yes I will list it.

patriarch cane is a decent starter weapon if you don't have the skirmish +1 weapon for whatever reason. Cheap off AH and kills Bahamut staff!

For the feet slot for magical BPs, how would unaugmented Hagondes compare to AF119?

Why would your Hagondes ever be unaugmented?

Because they have player MAB on them which does nothing for pet BPs and I don't feel like getting another pair. Suppose I should have just said that instead of "unaugmented".

Perhaps, but for the price of one wing you probably have in the NPC. It is easy to carry another pair while leaving the nuking job ones behind.

I'm aware of this; already have 1 set of Otronif with DA2 and another set with Crit2 and bring whichever is suitable for the event I plan on doing. However, I don't go SMN to anything except VD EV, so I'm not particularly worried about spending too much effort on it. Also, I actually don't have any Lebondopt Wings with NPC.

It will depend on how much MAB you have elsewhere.

example: if you have all other Hagonde with pet: Mab + Balsam staff then yes convoker would be better in feet than an unaugmented Hagonde.
If you have Nirvana, Convoker body, Spurrina gages and Ngen then even blank Hagonde feet will be better than convoker feet.

What are the best BP's to use for the D/VD AA fights (other than EA)?
I've been doing Night Terror since it doesn't get resisted for about 1k, haven't found anything else that's as reliable.

On a side note tho if you sub scholar and use a good nuking staff (non pet oriented) like eminent staff,baqil staff, venebulum and stack as much magic damage and MAB gear as you can, you can cast tier 1 and 2 sch nukes for like 1400ish Tier 1 and 2kish tier 2.

I don't SMN for anything except VD EV (and my group is slowly leaning towards just going back to COR anyway), so not an option for me.

Arch DL in under 4 mins on SMN, thats's awesome. With diaII from another.

Got a question about the Hagondes augments. Any idea how high you can get the Pet:MAB with just NQ stones for the head gloves and boots?

I got Pet: MAB+18 on legs once. I think as high as +19 like regular MAB

I was doing 25k BP's in abyssea for my 'Total Damage' trial. Lots of fun to see numbers like that without very much effort in gear/etc.

What atma is the best in abyssea? Which avatar too, garuda with crit atma or ifrit with magic or shiva

Hat with 5 pet haste and -10% DT, would give 18% pet haste. Good set if you have MP restoration from other areas (ballad or temps.) I'm sure I'm missing some augmented avatar crap though somewhere. Uffrat can get ACC or ATK for avatar. Not bad since they increased base melee dmg.

All the pieces can get up to Pet:MAB +25 using +2 stones.
