The heavy armor reminds of a court jester. Another thing is... it seems like they are hiding another job... or its just cause there is always 3 types of gear... But i wouldn't be surprised if they announce another job a few days before release.
What type of armor is Runefencer on? Thaumas?

The new expansion seems like an island type setting so it could be possible for a 3rd job called Shaman :O

I wonder if they totally scrapped the idea of personal islands. I guess we'll have to wait and see what the last thing on the Adoulin website is revealed to be.
I hope not, I was looking forward to play as a monster.

What do ya mean? You start as something weak and you evolve your monster form. What's bad about that?
They need to show what the new mythics looks like. So far, most of this gear looks pretty plain.
So it looks like those new sets are the new Perle/Aurore/Teal sets? Or am I crazy? The armor looks very plain.

I'm not saying Perle is great, PLEASE don't misinterpret me, but I always thought it was some of SE's most intricate art, especially if you'd modified the registry to make lolhdffxi.

i think the scary part is going to see 500 rnf and geo's in abyssea burning their jobs to 99 in the first day of release lol.
there's another JP livestream event happening in about 2 hours (7AM EDT)
It'd be hilarious if they prevented rune fencer and geomancer from entering abyssea, just to screw with people.

its probably going to be on nin/blu/cor/dnc type gear.
I don't expect them to be actually added onto NNI stuff, people would just abyburn it, skip getting AF except for macro/towngear + throw their thaumas on it and be stuck in that forever until they find some expansion sidegrade.
I'd really like to see SE make us need to gear out these jobs from having to play the expansion instead of be mostly done just throwing on existing gear. Although something like Athos set from vw screams runefencer tho.
I'm more concerned about there being a diverse set of gswords for the job to equip (tanking GS+magic def/pdt option, a more DD gs, etc).
