fav things about each zelda Ive played.

zelda 1 : pretty solid game, honestly gota show respect for the game that launched it all , but I didn't play this 1 much

zelda 2 : Link gets more sword moves besides just stab

link to the past : took everything from the 1st game and made it better in pretty much every single aspect.

links awakening : this is probably the 1st game I played that actually put me in a slightly depressed mood, the whole game I honestly felt like the bad guy, the way the nightmares would ask you to leave you alone after you beat each temple.

oot : revolutionized 3d games imo so many things in this game you see other games doing to this day

majora's mask : probably my favorite story

windwaker: I admire nintendo for trying something new with this game. I like picking up weapons enemies dropped and using them.

seasons and ages : having to play 2 zelda games to unlock the final ganon form was pretty awesome

minish cap: being tiny was fun

twilight princess: all the 1 on 1 sword duels although real easy, were all fun as hell imo. and also most the boss fights were really fun, like having to use the spin top to climb the tower in sand temple, and the dragon fight using x2 hookshots

skyward sword: tbh feels like no other game I've played before at some points which brings a new challenge to me, also this game utilizes the wiimote to its full potential

I find it more amusing that he thinks I don't know what all I can play a game I've beaten the whole way through over 100 times on...

I'm actually more confused as to why you would rather play a game that you've played and beat over 100 times with a new coat of paint vs a brand new game set in the same universe made by a team with many people close to/worked on the original.

I'm not attacking your opinion. You're more than entitled to it. I'm just mind blown that you would think remakes are better than sequels. That mentality would destroy any form of innovation in the world. Imagine if the movie industry just picked like 10 movies, and remade them with a new cast every year. How many times would you want to see the same movie with different people? Same with games. What if there were only 10-15 games made every year and they were the same 10-15 games remade over and over with a gimmick here or there thrown in? Would you keep buying the same thing every year over and over? Wouldn't you wish for something NEW and FRESH? If not, then personally, I feel sorry for you. Without the drive for something new, we would still probably be living in caves eating raw meat...and maybe berries.

you're really over thinking it, and taking what I said severely out of context.

To me, in this one case, I'd rather have had a remake in a full world, like OoT but ALTTP story/dungeons etc.

What they are doing is different than what I wanted in just about every way, but it's still amazing.
