It looks like the Dragoon AF.
From the quick glimpes...it looks like it has on too many spides in places, but SE would give DRG a GS looking thhing so they dont need to make a DRK job.

1) It's DRG.
2) How does it make sense that BLM's Limit Break calls the very thing that ended the 1.0version? >_> It's fan service.

Which is great and all, however I had the feeling before already that they're trying way too hard to implement old FF themes, and this may just ruin things like lore and unique atmosphere. The drg doing Omnisnatch is an example imo.

As awesome as that looks, I agree. IMO, it should have been reserved for a future great sword wielding job.

Bard and Archer seems like a really good combo to be honest. Maybe you're just thinking of FFXI how-would-that-work with your instrument-ranged being the same slot!

The original Gygaxian idea of the "Bard" was more like a loremaster Warrior-poet perfectly capable of whooping *** and using guile, not just turning on the ballad bot and afk'ing.

You know if the Buster Sword wasn't there and it was just the Dragoon swinging his spear around in the same fashion, no one would be complaining. But nooooo, add in some FF7 fanservice and people cry about it.

Also;

So there are indeed three levels to Limit Breaks. It is unclear whether WAR is considered Tank or Melee at this point and what "role" Scholar will play, but we can conclude that...

PLD/GLD (maybe WAR/MRD): DEF up
MNK/PUG DRG/LNC (maybe WAR/MRD): Single target attack.
BLM/THM Arcanist/Summoner (maybe SCH/Base job): AoE
WHM/CON BRD/ARC (maybe SCH/Base job): HP restoration/Raise@Lv3

Because no other game has large monsters that drop rare items which people camp/battle to obtain/sell said items? >_> And someone certainly missed the Tiamat concept art they released forever ago.

Also about "buster sword" usage...
Oh lookie der
And in case you missed it, look at Tactics Advance.

because they all arent notoriously another Final Fantasy based MMO. Im not stupid, i know other MMO and offline games have NM kill/sell systems but, this one is the same "Kill Behe,Tiamat,Jormy,Fafnir,Odin" with a new graphical twist and recoloring.I'll still play it, but i wont be truely happy if its the same ice blue dragon "Jormugand" they've used ten thousand times and more favorably use the version associated with their last great successful FFMMO. You can use the same ideas, but it wouldnt kill anyone to change the color scheme or change up the type of dragon they are (returning Tiamat to a Hydra instead of a giant Wyrm). It is a Final Fantasy title and there will always be the same mythological beasts,but yea.

Behemoth always looks the same up unil FF12.

And have you played the beta? The NM system works completely different in there than in XI.

I have. Thats the "F.A.T.E" NMs though, they will obviously put the legendary creatures as other fights and F.A.T.E is a general random event/easier reward thing. The real HNM style that will ome forth will be where these things pop in one location or in one instanced area and you have to clear through to get to them. The only difference between XI and XIV with this style will be the instances. You also seriously just agreed with what i said...They tweak behemoth in every adaptation whether it be color,size,for,little details whatever. Intead of doing that again, they use the same purple giant two horned mob we all know and can distinctly identify as the exact form used in XI.

Can we not discuss the blatant similarities without this becoming a "NUHUH IM RIGHT YU WRONG!" contest?

Not even discuss, can i not make personal statements that are not targeted at a single entity without getting a flaming? because you know, me personally having a problem with it and stating i'd have a problem totally needs to be ripped apart and fact checked to death instead of ignored,especially one that sympathized with your already antagonistically flavored *** post about how people will get all mad about buster sword when they forget that it was used in tactics as well. But oh well, ***.

There's not a lot of room there, those monsters are references to Norse Mythology, well, Tiamat is Mesopotamian, but they're still all dragons anyway.

They have already said they are moving away from the XI model and HNMs will be handled as FATEs.

Granted different game, but don't think they'd scrap things like that.

There was the ram as well. They were rendered mostly irrelevant however and just used for a rank up quest and achievements.

Oh, those NM's. I was thinking about others. Lesser Open World NM's >_>;

Unknown Soldier (Ghost) for Anathema
Downy Dunstan (Sheep) for Loyalist's Bliaud
Bardi (Dog?) for Divining Hat

Most of my good gear came from Materia/Cutter's Cry/Aurum Vale and those NM's were already made useless when I took the game up again D:

Square Enix today announced at E3 2013 that the upcoming A Realm Reborn revamp to the Final Fantasy XIV MMORPG will be making its way to PlayStation 4 in 2014. While the title will first arrive for the PlayStation 3 in August, Square Enix is already negotiating with Sony to make sure that players that purchase the game for the PlayStation 3 console will be able to smoothly transition to the PlayStation 4 when the game goes live.
