And bardcher?
Quetzacoatl said: » Well then why does a halberd magically turn into a *** buster sword then, makes no sense indeed Enuyasha said: » Cerberus.Pleebo said: » It looks like the Dragoon AF. ![]() 1) It's DRG. 2) How does it make sense that BLM's Limit Break calls the very thing that ended the 1.0version? >_> It's fan service. Bahamut.Mizuharu said: » It's fan service Valefor.Sehachan said: » And bardcher? As awesome as that looks, I agree. IMO, it should have been reserved for a future great sword wielding job. Valefor.Sehachan said: » And bardcher? Bard and Archer seems like a really good combo to be honest. Maybe you're just thinking of FFXI how-would-that-work with your instrument-ranged being the same slot! The original Gygaxian idea of the "Bard" was more like a loremaster Warrior-poet perfectly capable of whooping *** and using guile, not just turning on the ballad bot and afk'ing. You know if the Buster Sword wasn't there and it was just the Dragoon swinging his spear around in the same fashion, no one would be complaining. But nooooo, add in some FF7 fanservice and people cry about it.
Also; ![]() So there are indeed three levels to Limit Breaks. It is unclear whether WAR is considered Tank or Melee at this point and what "role" Scholar will play, but we can conclude that... PLD/GLD (maybe WAR/MRD): DEF up MNK/PUG DRG/LNC (maybe WAR/MRD): Single target attack. BLM/THM Arcanist/Summoner (maybe SCH/Base job): AoE WHM/CON BRD/ARC (maybe SCH/Base job): HP restoration/Raise@Lv3 Bahamut.Mizuharu said: » You know if the Buster Sword wasn't there and it was just the Dragoon swinging his spear around in the same fashion, no one would be complaining. Because no other game has large monsters that drop rare items which people camp/battle to obtain/sell said items? >_> And someone certainly missed the Tiamat concept art they released forever ago. ![]() Also about "buster sword" usage... Oh lookie der And in case you missed it, look at Tactics Advance. And have you played the beta? The NM system works completely different in there than in XI. Not even discuss, can i not make personal statements that are not targeted at a single entity without getting a flaming? because you know, me personally having a problem with it and stating i'd have a problem totally needs to be ripped apart and fact checked to death instead of ignored,especially one that sympathized with your already antagonistically flavored *** post about how people will get all mad about buster sword when they forget that it was used in tactics as well. But oh well, ***. There's not a lot of room there, those monsters are references to Norse Mythology, well, Tiamat is Mesopotamian, but they're still all dragons anyway. Thats the "F.A.T.E" NMs though, they will obviously put the legendary creatures as other fights and F.A.T.E is a general random event/easier reward thing. didn't actually play 1.0, but wasn't there already roaming hnm's? like that big pieste/buffalo-thing?
Granted different game, but don't think they'd scrap things like that. There was a few, I only remember 1~2 per zone though. I might've just not bumped into them, I only really went after the ones I found had good stuffs :P

They were rendered mostly irrelevant however and just used for a rank up quest and achievements.
Oh, those NM's. I was thinking about others. Lesser Open World NM's >_>;
Unknown Soldier (Ghost) for Anathema Downy Dunstan (Sheep) for Loyalist's Bliaud Bardi (Dog?) for Divining Hat Most of my good gear came from Materia/Cutter's Cry/Aurum Vale and those NM's were already made useless when I took the game up again D: Quote: Square Enix today announced at E3 2013 that the upcoming A Realm Reborn revamp to the Final Fantasy XIV MMORPG will be making its way to PlayStation 4 in 2014. While the title will first arrive for the PlayStation 3 in August, Square Enix is already negotiating with Sony to make sure that players that purchase the game for the PlayStation 3 console will be able to smoothly transition to the PlayStation 4 when the game goes live. |
