Lame. Wonder why? Geas Fete screw up the collection info somehow, maybe?

Oldest issue that immediately comes to mind is that outside pops for Delve II NMs don't have spawn locations recorded. Not entirely surprised that Escha has no data whatsoever.
Oh, and all the various "internal server error" issues with some older mobs. Fenrir.Nightfyre said: » XIDB hasn't been fully functional for a while. That's probably a fixable problem, but I haven't got access to that to investigate (and no time even if I did :\) I've no doubt that it is, but judging from the sidebar whoever's running XIDB hasn't really touched it in over a year. That may be (part of?) the root problem for Escha content, while I'm less sure of the reasons behind the older NM and internal server error issues I mentioned above.

Also props to Nightfyre for removing the silly Strength/Weakness crap from the Wiki. I had been meaning to ask Spciy if I could when I first saw it on COR page last week. I really need to remember the FFXIDB story. I have heard it three times by now. I keep forgetting though.

Anyway, we now have fledgling Mounts and Ambuscade pages up on wiki. I will help layout the ambuscade page a bit tonight after I get home. In addition to the regular Version Update Items As always, thank you Funkworkz. On another note. Faequeen has updated the JSE cape page with the new ambuscade capes and their augments. Which is pretty *** awesome as it is still day 0 on the update. While I am glad to have gotten all the Ambuscade Rewards page done the day it all came out. FaeQueenCory went and outdid themselves with the changes they just did to the page. I wish I could make things pretty too :(
Anyway, with the Ambuscade page also mostly done from the day after it came out. I wen't and did the Mounts page and the walkthrough for the quest. Now I am going to go back to adding food effects, NPC/vendor info, and random things I encounter. If anyone has the locations for the Apex mobs I will list them out on wiki. Otherwise that is not high on my list until I bump into them in game, and I never do Apex parties (ever). In terms of drop rates and things mentioned. If it is not on ffxidb you can do what is supposed to be done anyway and use gdrop cdrop udrop rdrop, etc to add tags that denotate rarity when you cursor over them. Eg: https://www.bg-wiki.com/bg/Pakecet or https://www.bg-wiki.com/bg/Morta I was actually talking with arcon about a ffxidb fix last week and it was about ready for testing. Think he got sidetracked when the update came out, but I would expect it to be up relatively soon.

I said that simply because it has been a long time since anything was done. This is great to hear. Thank you, and thanks very much Arcon. One thing I've noticed is that while the main "Escha" page lists everything and anything I might need about all 3 zones, the individual zone pages are missing tons of info. The Reisenjima page, for example, is missing all the HELM NMs, and even the 3 gobs aren't listed. The Echa-Ru'Aun page is missing all the AAs and gods. And none of these pages, or even the individual monster pages, actually list the items needed to get their grisly tokens. Even their grisley token pages don't say. Again, it seems the only place anything is actually listed is the main Escha page. Which is great if your search actually starts there, but if you start by actually looking up AA HM, for example, you're gonna have a frustrating tour around the wiki.

I will work on remedying this tonight. No timelines, but it should be done in a day or so. Okay, did a chunk of work. -Edited the quest usage template to accommodate spawns of NMs. --E.g. Ashweed now states the NMs it is involved in spawning. ---Template for this is in my Sandbox Page if anyone wants to use it. -Updated all key item pages for Zi-Tah Geas Fete. I am working on Ru'Aun as we speak. I won't finish in one swoop though. --E.g. Vidala's Claw -Fixed monster family categories on the Zi-Tah zone page. --Remember you can not just link Pixie for a monster family. That goes to the literal monster named Pixie. You must use :Category:Pixie to link to the category (family page) for all pixies. This of course will link "Category Pixies" so rename it (or any internal link) with a | Pixie so the link reads "Pixie" -Divided The Geas Fete NMs on zone pages into tiers so it is not a long list of NMs. This is much easier to read and organized. --I will do this for Ru'Aun and Reisen. -Created redirects for the frayed pouches for Reisenjima as the pages for these (and on Ah.com) are Frayed Sack (Fer) and not frayed sack of ferundicity or w/e it is called. Now you can use that name and it links to the page. -Added disambiguation links at the top of the Eschan zones for quick link access between zone pages to save everyone (including myself) time. Let me know if people find themselves running into things they need changed. I see I need to go back over the unity section (update cost of spawn, some pages are blank, and take the rewards from that page to its own rewards page as there are too many images). 100 props to ye
Sylph.Jeanpaul said: » 100 props to ye Thanks to all the users who I do it for. ![]() It is easiest for me to help you when you tell me what you all need. Things tend to snowball from small projects into large development and editing. Like without this small request I wouldn't be targeting the blank unity pages I am stumbling on or be changing old templates. I figured everyone uses the Escha page for everything. That page kicks ***. However, yes I imagine for anyone who types it into google or the wiki they don't use that page. So it wasn't until Vash just mentioned it now as a problem for them that I figured I should act on that. There is however info I don't have. If people know monster levels for general things in Escha that works. I just added the pots in Ru'Aun because when Carrot and I leveled and I hit EM on them I knew their minimum level then stayed till there were no more EMs. Other mobs and things though I guess can take the zitah approach of "lv100+" and things, but that seems lame to me thus it is blank. I am sure the Aerns and things are around level 115ish or something, but.. Hey, can't I just change the average level of my ilvl gear to get their real level? I suppose that might work actually? I assume that changes the check function to check me as a level 119 against them based on average level of gear? I never cared about the levels until I was leveling up a lower level job. Then I went "that be useful right now..." for picking targets. Awesome, thanks for the updates!
Bismarck.Vashkoda said: » Awesome, thanks for the updates! Yw. Just got home. Making food then I'll so some more before Carrot gets home. EDIT: All Ru'Aun KI are done. Some pages didn't have the KI on them. Added that. Working on the zone page NMs. For now I divided the page into the type of NM, and added every missing name. I will go back add and fix existing families, treasure, and key items, but that is going to take an hour straight or so. (Upload log); 15:07 . . Carrotchan (Talk | contribs) uploaded File:Affi.jpg ? Since she had trouble. Here is how you upload NPC pictures. Take the screenshot with printscreen. Go to the windower4 folder screenshots. Right click, edit with paint. Crop the NPC with the crop tool. cntrl + x. New paint, dont save, make the white area smaller than the picture. Cntrl + v. Save as a .jpg (Carrot was frustrated because the default .png was not working, just use the default listed extension, in this case .jpg it says) then click the red NPC link which goes to the upload page. Upload, and that is it. Images take time to refresh if you don't see them right away. Try to crop consistently. Asura.Floppyseconds said: » By the way all the NMs on the RuAun zone page are done. I didn't see I left the old list. EDIT: All Escha KIs for every mob are now done. The last thing is to update the Reisen page and the pages of the pop items to list the monsters they pop. Will look weird on the Leisure Table or Trump Card Case, but they do pop HELM NMs. Weird choice for a pop item. EDIT2: Reisen has all the NMs linked added to it. Will add drops and missing stuff later. Asura.Floppyseconds said: » OH SNAP! (Upload log); 15:07 . . Carrotchan (Talk | contribs) uploaded File:Affi.jpg ? See, someone used to do the trusts (Vaf!). At one point we were ahead, and then he stopped doing them and no one picked it up. I can add anything as you come across it though, sure. EDIT: Just looked at the pre-SoA guide to returning. https://www.bg-wiki.com/bg/Returning_to_Vana%27diel Boy, is that ***a mess. I think I would just scrap that and start over.. I am not satisfied with the trust page right now and I do want to expand it. I am leaning towards making individual trust pages similar to xiclopedia. This way all the data isnt crammed into the same page and we can hopefully eliminate the collapsing categories. |
