He/She just reported finding a way to optimize bumpmaps and reducing their size from 100MB to 22 MB which should leave more room for other textures. These are the limitations of the FFXI graphics engine we're running into.

I'm kinda meh on the indoor shops considering the lag spike that happens in the sandoria ones, although those might be bigger because they're 2 floor.
Of course the tenshodo is such a big important area that it's prob worth a spike.

Basically just call all the variations of puppets (or as many as you can, I don't know how pup works but I can only call one) and see if they look correct ingame or if aspects are too bright etc. Sometimes mods that look fine in modelviewer don't look good ingame because shine effects / lighting or there are awful seem lines that show ingame but not in model viewer. There are like 24 different puppets total as shown in the image below and each one is a totally different dat. Many of them re-use aspects of different puppets but they are all seperate dats so need them all checked (or as many as poss)
The originals are in the zip too so you can change them back to normal.
For anyone else this zip isn't finished so many things like pup trusts and some monsters pips etc aren't changed, I'll need to update all those too before it's a final "pup zip"

Kireek was working on avatars and was testing different textures on Titan but said he was worried about his rock texture.
I have to say I think you're Titan is superb.
I thank Kireek for all the upscales he's been doing but definitely want this version of Titan.
Still appreciate and am looking forward to all of Kireek's upcoming releases.

For anyone that uses Amelilas Mog house dats, I ported the same textures to the rentarooms for missing mog houses in Sandy, Windy and Bastok (not home nation ones).
This is all Amelilas work, I just ported the textures over to the dats they missed. Didn't change or add anything.

Finishing up a crafting pack soon, one of the shields and aprons.
If anyone can test the pup pack above and confirm it's working as intended in game it would be great, I don't want to have to level pup or have to do lots of dat swaps to check them ingame.

Don't have the blm head for pup, but tested every other head with all frames and the only noticed 2 things, 1 was the Stormwaker/Soulsoother heads there's a thin black line that flickers in the middle of their tassel, although that may be something on my end, and might even me something the original model does, as I don't normally look that closely. Did happen with any frame they were on though
The 2nd was the Stormwaker frame has a tiny floating dot near its hands, which appears to be present with each head
I think they all look amazing though, great job and thank you for your work here! I've been installing just about everything here for a while and really enjoy the work people are putting in!

Here is a view of my new version of my Ronfaure HD based on Amelila HD Overhaul. As for the first version, I changed ground texture, Outpost, and rock wall but I kept all the other Amelila Texture.
I have also included a beta version of my all new Shader as Clear and Realistic Landscape was to bright for some of you.
the comparison video was made some days ago so the preset change since then, desactivate Technicolor 2 shader if you wan a similar aspect to the video.

When you click the download link, click the white arrow top right to download the file.
In the zip files are the modded files and the originals so they can be changed back and fourth easily, either manually copy the dats over one by one or drag the "ROM" folder from the mod zip to the "FINAL FANTASY XI" on your hard drive. Click yes on the confirmation prompts to overwrite the specific files (it won't do anything but overwrite the specified files in the folders).

I did this one a bit different, the basic mod folder has HQ mods for all races so you can just use that alone if you want.
However if you want an even clearer mod for your race only (since scythe is so big and it's on your back) there is an additional folder "ZZ Your race only (use 1 dat)", inside there you can copy the dat for your race only which is HQ2 (larger res). So by using the mod folder it adds hq1 mods for all races and hq2 is a single dat for your race only.

Southern San d'oria mod
This is a rework of Amelilas HD mod, I reduced the size from 62 meg to 36 meg, so it loads faster when you zone. (almost all the textures in southern sandy were made by Amelila as were a lot of the textures in the side rooms).
Fixed a problem with the small bushes.
Changed the clouds back to vanilla (if you use uncompressed textures in the ffxi config these look better imo)
Updated a few textures including doors and the spiral floor texture from the lower jeuno mod.
Changed the tent texture, was causing shimmering.
Updated all the side rooms.
If you just want to use the sandoria mod but not the others just use the 31.dat.

Due to this being a busy zone I had to lower some of the textures below what I wanted them to be, but given these zones are multi-file and the game loads different parts as you run around I had to make compromises to make sure it runs well. Updates Involving Amelilas mods (all the textures were done by him, I just expanded the zones covered (converted sandy south to dynamis 1&2 and ported the mog house dats to the ones they missed)

For anyone that uses Amelilias San d'Oria mods.
It bothered me that north used different grass to south, so I swapped the one from south into north. Now they both use the same grass texture.
This is all Amelilas work, I just swapped a single texture from their other mod into this one.

For anyone that uses Amelilas Mog house dats, I ported the same textures to the rentarooms for missing mog houses in Sandy, Windy and Bastok (not home nation ones).
This is all Amelilas work, I just ported the textures over to the dats they missed. Didn't change or add anything.

Optimized and updated Amelilas Gustaberg South and North mods.
Reduced the size from:
North 104mb to 63mb
South 92mb to 47mb
The files in folder rom/92/ are the original (bump maps) dats and are much smaller, if you installed Amelilas original you will need to intall these originals too (or just delete the updated ones and use the originals).
Zone times should be massively faster (and any issues with black screen should be gone too), also the initial flyover won't pause to load anymore when it shows gusta before character select.
I made the grass less green so it looks more fitting to the surroundings and made the pathways lighter so they stand out more.
