There is a small chance they doubled up another food. Until we find the right evolution path, it is worth trying these below. Other items should not have any effect, but if you have ideas it may be worth it. Other foods to try on 2.5 star Mandragora Sproutlings Dark Cluster, Fire Cluster, Ice Cluster, Gem of the East, Bibiki Slug, Coral Butterfly, Denizanasi, Quus, Three-eyed Fish, Date, Kazham Peppers, Royal Grape, Thundermelon, Batagreens, Blue Pondweed, Boyahda Moss, Great Boyahda Moss, Napa, Papaka Grass, Red Moko Grass, Red Pondweed, Beastman Blood, Chimera Blood, Fiend Blood, Honey Wine, Mulsum, Potion, Sweet Tea, Beastly Shank, Cerberus Meat, Cockatrice Meat, Dragon Meat, Gabbrath Meat, Giant Sheep Meat, Lesser Chigoe, Rotten Meat, Savory Shank, Tavnazian Liver, Blue Peas, Burdock Root, San d'Orian Carrot, Sunflower Seeds 3 star sproutlings:
tried a Fire and a Dark cluster, surprisingly not worthless. No evolution message Ok. So here's the unassociated foods:
Slashed things are stuff that people have tried on a 2.5+ Sapling.... OR DON'T EXIST IN GAME. >_<# Evolution foods for other monsters (Assuming Saruta Orange is for AkeOme and Watermelon for Citrillus, and the Amrita and Ambrosia are for one of the Elders):
I swear to god that it's those stupid Deluxe Carrots. It's not going to be a repeat of another item. It hasn't happened and it won't happen; they literally have thousands of other items to select. It's probably a head of Grauberg Lettuce or something.
I gave my 2.5 Sapling a San d'Orian Carrot, it was visibly angry and no evolution message.
On my other char I gave a 2.5 Sapling thundermelon, didn't go over too well and no evolve message Gave a 3 Sapling Red Moko Grass, didn't go over too well and no evolve message. was not Dark or Fire Cluster
I just got a Gem of the East from the beach, I'll try it tomorrow Tried a few things not known just in case on Mandragora Sproutling at 3 stars. Honey, Derfland Humus, Coalition Fertilizer, and Coalition Humus gave no response.
Mulsum strongly resonated. Sunflower Seeds made my 2.5 star Sapling visibly angry.

In other words: if it's not in the list, it's not a possible trigger. Also, I wonder if everyone remembers to be looking for "squirms uncontrollably". It's possible that someone missed that that message is the failed evolution mark. (it's been a few years since this was being updated regularly) Why did SE add Deluxe Carrot to the list of foods if it's not obtainable?

Ice cluster - surprisingly not worthless; no evolution message Gem of the East - Surprisingly not worthless; no evolution message Cerberus.Kylos said: » Why did SE add Deluxe Carrot to the list of foods if it's not obtainable? Now why did SE put it in the list? Today's attempts:
Kazham Peppers > Didn't go over too well, no evolution message Potion > Strongly resonated, no evolution message Tavnazian Liver > Strongly resonated, no evolution message Rotten Meat > Strongly resonated, no evolution message Other foods to try on 2.5 star Mandragora Sproutlings
These mandragoras grow a lot slower than I remember for other rank 4 monsters way back when... Considering there currently is the Monster Rearing campaign, I'd dare to say they're much slower yeah.
Beastman blood, chimera blood and fiend blood all resonated strongly with Mandy Saplings of 2.5-3 stars, no evolution message
blue pondweed didnt go over too well
Savory Shank strongly resonated.
2.5 star Sproutling: Beastman Blood - Strongly resonated - No evolution message.
Okay 4 attempts again:
Lesser Chigoe, Giant Sheep Meat, Gabbrath Meat all Strongly Resonated, no evolve message Blue Peas, Visibly Angry, no evolve message. 3 star Sproutlings:
Batagreens: That didn't go over too well. Denizanasi: That strongly resonated. neither gave evolution message Other foods to try on 2.5 star Mandragora Sproutlings
Bibiki Slug, Coral Butterfly, Quus, Three-eyed Fish, Date, Royal Grape, Napa, Papaka Grass, Red Pondweed, Honey Wine, Sweet Tea, Beastly Shank, Cockatrice Meat, Dragon Meat, Burdock Root At least we're running out of options I suppose.
Definitely starting to feel like it's not a repeat, so either it's Deluxe Carrot and SE *** up, or someone here *** up and didn't realize squirming means it's the right food. Also possible that they forgot to mention a food, but I'm betting on one of the first two options.

I posted this on the second page, and its looking more likely now.
Underlined portions denote that it is confirmed Current theoretical paths Mandy Sprouting -> 2.5 Stars=Feed: Acidic Humus -> Korrigan -> Feed: Ambrosia or Amrita -> Pachypodium Mandy Sprouting -> 2.5 Stars=Feed: Alkaline Humus -> Adenium -> Natural evolution -> Elder Adenium Mandy Sprouting -> Natural evolution -> Mandragora -> Natural evolution -> Elder Mandragora Mandy Sprouting -> Natural evolution -> Mandragora -> Feed: Watermelon -> Citrullus Mandy Sprouting -> Natural evolution -> Mandragora -> Feed: Saruta Orange -> Lycopdoium -> Feed: Ambrosia or Amrita -> Ake-Ome your thoughts on the lycopdoium/ake-ome feed are interesting. i might have missed something mentioned in an earlier post but is it unreasonable to think that the orange might result in an ake-ome?
i'm assuming everyone here has seen the chart on BGwiki, i'm not sure where that info came from but i haven't noticed those exact path theories expressed much in this thread or in other jp discussions. i've been under the impression since page 2 or 3 (and after conversing with a jp rearing enthusiast) that lycopdoium and pachypodium would not come from sproutings but instead are far more likely to evolve from an adult or possibly an elder. i'm currently just waiting for adult mandies to hit 2.5 stars so i can start experimenting with the feed we've been trying on sproutings. My theory I posted above is based on Cheer KI bonuses and strengths. |
