So yeh, today was my 18th Birthday, and last night i was stood outside and the sky was really clear and everything seemed 'perfect' and it made me wonder, 18 years from now, what am i going to be doing.
Now, i live my life as one of these people who takes stuff as it comes, I make mistakes, have regrets but ultimately i move on. I have some amazing memories both from the games i have played and in real life, but i don't really have any 'life plans' other than i want to move to New Zealand.
Also, i look at what i've achieved in these 18 years and its actually quite depressing, i've made loads of friends, and i wouldn't replace that for anything. However, fundamentaly i have a set of 11 decent GCSE's (English people will understand about GCSE's don't know about the American equivalent) I have 2As levels, (again English people will know what that is) and about £600 in the bank. I've dropped out of sixth form because i didn't enjoy it, and im currently work as a lifeguard -
I look at this as a dead end sort of life, and think, in 18 years, when im 36 what the *** am i actually going to be doing? How easy is it to move to New Zealand etc.
Last year, my dad sadly passed away, and it did significantly change my life, my plans and everything, i became more determined to achieve my ultimate, and only goal - Moving to New zealand.
Sorry I've just rambled, sorta bored and wanted to share.
Point in this thread? there isn't really one, delete it if you want - feel free to share memories, tell us something thats happened significantly in your life that has changed your plans, or made you wonder.

i know what you mean, im only 19 and it wasnt untill recently that i decided what i want to do, i plan on becoming a cop, and eventually join swat. not knowing exactly what you want to do now isnt a super big deal, just do what you enjoy doing, cuz life isnt all about the money its about having fun. so have fun and do what you love :D and happy bday

Start to feel glum when you are 25 and fill shelves in a Supermarket to pay the bills like I do. :P
As for moving to New Zealand, from what I saw while working in the mailroom for NZIS (looks like Nazis lol) it's not that hard. Just a medical examination and some correspondence from our government to yours and I think you'd be set.

I know how you mean, im 21 myself, and as far as what i have achieved, its well... not very much.
But the way i see it is, if your having a good time, and your happy living the way you do, then what you do for a career shouldnt really matter aslong as you are happy and can live compfortably.

I'll take 21 over 18 anyday, a lot more freedom that way.
You need to have a trade to be able to move to NZ,you also need to have a firm job offer from someone in that trade in NZ and somewhere to live.
If only the UK had the same laws,maybe we wouldn't be overrun with unemployed immigrants.
