because I dont know for sure that there even is a god. And rather than spend my whole life living it to make a possible god happy in the end. I'd rather spend my life the way I want right now. And if there's a god, I've lost nothing coz he will forgive me anyway. But if there isnt any god then atleast I've had a fullfilling life with my own measures.
since I'm bending as far as saying there might be a god for the sake of the argument, I hope you will be able to do the same and put yourself in a situation where there actually is no god at the end of your life.
Now lets pretend you can imagine that there is no god. At the end of your life you have, what I would like to call it, wasted your entire life believing in something that isnt real, you have lived your life based on something that isnt real. In this situation I "won" by living my life in a way that is fullfilling to me, rather than to an imaginary god.
And as I said, in a scenario where there actually is a god, I would still have "won", considering I lived my life the way I wanted, and by the time I die god will forgove me and let me in to his paradise/heaven anyway.
So, at the end I get exactly the same as you will get, wether there is a god or not.
See my point here?[/quote]
well you could argue the flipside of that and have pride into sticking to one thing in life for an entire lifetime. Shows alot of willpower regardless of what you believe in.
edit: post messed up for whatever reason sorry

I'm a christian, and I preach to my friends. Someone has to save them. I leave bible's in random places off the house, so when the clean up they find them.

JESUS WAS A CARPENTER, he couldn't grill to save his life. Judas was his chef.

I am all about everyone's freedom to practice whatever religion they want. They should also respect my right to not have to listen to them preach it... or buy general household products with leaflets about their god attached to it.
Sorry, but it doesn't work that way. It's not your place to tell someone that they can only practice the parts of their religion that you don't care about. (Obviously up to the point of it being illegal or harming another person) If you don't want to listen, then walk away. If you don't want to buy something that has a little message on it, then don't buy it.
No ones "rights" are being infringed upon by some stupid leaflet in a grill. I think everyone here can tell I'm not some stupid religious nutcase on here to convert people to my beliefs, but I'm really tired of the hypocritical stance taken by both sides.
Religious and non-religious alike both want it their way or no way. Grow the *** up and actually think about what being "free" means. I'll give you a hint, it doesn't start with crying about *** paper in your *** grill.

Agreed with Shayala and Frobeus on some points. I'm sure the OP felt some type of unwanted penetration by the message as anyone would feel if they were in the same position regarding religious beliefs. What if you got a leaflet with unsolicited atheist forced speech on your new product. You would feel the same way.
But you do have a point. All it is, is a leaflet. Nothing more and no one's rights were violated. Don't like it? Throw it away.

Nearly everyday when I get home from work there is some sort of business card or flier from some lawn cutting service taped to my front door that I do not want to be there. I pull it down and throw it away without reading it. Problem solved.

I actually love those things XD. I've never cut grass once my entire life and I don't think I ever will. People will rarely walk down our driveway, it's pretty long, to place a flier on our door since they can't use the mailbox we have at the street point. I see it as a gift every time. Leave one and you got yourself a lawn to take care of :D.

I would be pretty freaked out if a lawncare service left a flier at my apt, since in don't really have a lawn, which makes me a bit sad.
I like fliers when they have to do citywide events.
Fresh grilled corn on the cob and carnival games behind my house?Hells yes I'm down for that ***!

Not exactly, or I wouldn't put it that way at least.. Of course I didn't want it, so I suppose in that respect it is unwanted penetration, but that phrasing makes it sound like I'm taking it a lot more seriously then I actually do..
I honestly just posted because I thought it was odd, and a bit retarded.
Okay, so the cover for our new grill came in today, and attatched to the invoice was this card pictured below.. WTH does Jesus have to do with grilling??? (sorry for the big pics, didn't take the time to resize them.)
