Dude, it's all about the Ragne Soul on items that don't need mental strength.

I actually managed to get Gwana Soul + Power II on a low-tier weapon. D: +50 striking damage. I was, like, DUDE.

Too bad 'cause Gwana Soul is pretty rare.

The only things that are unable to be translated are a lot of dialogue from the NPCs; they are basically server-bound--nothing they can change with a file on the client side. And item names. Item names are in Japanese still, but the stats are still translated and evident without having to remember certain kanji. >_>

Client orders and matterboard stuffs are all translated, so thank God. Having to consult a guide for quests is silly sometimes. Or when you assume you're doing it right, only to see you didn't read one detail about a time-limit.

YAY! finally some good news for the day...

Started the day off with my 16 month old breaking her thumb and my wife breaking her pinky toe, and thus ending up in the ER. My 4 year old closed a door on the 16 month old's thumb by accident and my wife caught the corner of the couch with her toe trying to dash over to our injured toddler.

The summer event debuted today and Summer Rappies will appear, dropping a few interesting items. I got the sword already. c:



GODDAMN SPACE TUNA. Currently beatin' the ***out of wolves with this fish. ...The stats are actually quite good for a mid-level Hunter, but it's a little weak for my level.

I got the patch applied last night and spent a couple mins looking thru menu's and what not. YAY!!! I can at least half a$$ my way thru things now. ^_^

So ive been getting along fine doing client orders...then i got to do some of Afin's. The third one down where you have to set a Photon Art to your weapon thingy, i cant complete it >.> Ive set a PA to that pallet more than 100times and nothing. Ive tried starting the quest as a force, thinking maybe since i was on hunter it wouldnt go through, nada.

Any ideas/helpful tips?

EDIT: Well i gotta head to work. Maybe its because i had figured out how to set PA's before and theres a bug/glitch with having them set before starting the quest?

Set a different PA to the weapon. There are two ways to do this, and I think only one way is acceptable. The first way is to do it in the item menu, where it says "Customize." The other way is to go to the equipment section of the menu, where you set your weapon load-outs.

Yea i tried both of those too. Ended up making a new char on another server to play with a friend and i had the same problem so i said *** it. Then when i was out on the field randomly changed my PA's and it said "blahlbah complete!" Idk wtf was up but yea.

Finally downloading this game now! Going to use ENG Patch and ENG Launcher. Can't wait to play! Sudden urge attack.

Damn did PSO2 just go into maint? Was booted T.T Didn't see any log out for maint message or anything. Just got level 10! This game is awesome. Got my first Red rare weapon like 15 minutes ago too. Can't and wont use it though. It's some dual saber gun blade weapon. Can still equip it but the mini blade isn't really my favorite.


Edit: Blah I guess so. Not really sure of the conversion time to japan but I think the maintenance for wed 29th (in japan) main starts. 6 hours long! /wrists

I find gunner very interesting as if PP allows it...you can pretty much stay mid the air the whole time haha

Still waiting for more news from ST about a US release.

As long as SoJ (Sega of Japan) doesn't decide to IP ban or something when the US version comes out...I think imma stay on the JP server.

I fear that they may pull a PSU.
Those who played PSU would know what I'm talking about in terms of the SUPER long delays between the time JP got a update to the time US got that very same update...


If anything I'd play US version for story purposes...

Yeah, I won't touch PSO2 on NA or EU servers with a 10-foot pole. PSU's content drip was atrocious and it made me hate SEGA.

Was playing the JP version for awhile, but decided to hold off on playing anymore until I can get some of my friends to join me in the NA version.

I'm sure the patch is updated quickly with each game patch, similar to FFXI and windower when it gets borked.

is it worth playing at all in it's current state? or should i just wait for NA relase? :o

I've been playing since Day 1 (on and off) and i can officially tell you the group who does the English Patch are VERY active...normally every update (or tuesday's mainteance) if i come home from work that same day they normally have it updated to work (or atleast give you some info on why it doesnt)


And i'd say so...

The advanced classes (gunner,techer,fighter) are out....

Also can do a subclass (like ffxi)

So yea if your PSO fan I doubt the game would disappoint you...


Me personally My gaming has stopped a bit since I grinded the living crap out of ranger and gunner so both of them are 50...playing Gu/RA or GuRanger haha

Im content with the gear im using so what I've been doing was mad another char and making it like my Hunter/fighter char..."


Really unless it's Falz or someone wants to do something on VH...I don't get on my main as much lately...mainly bcuz my gear is decent and gathering more meseta b4 I pimp it out...

After doing various Aerial dodges and PAs on gunner.....I some how got up there....by normal means...I don't think you're able to get up there...all by accident lol

I played on the Jp servers for a short time (got to around level 15 or so) and it felt very slow and grindy to me. Granted it probably gets much more entertaining at higher levels. I became very upset when I found out that I liked using guns more than magic and that my choice of race/gender was basically the worst choice for that, and I didn't want to restart. I'll probably try it out again when NA version is available.

TBH with you.....race/class isn't a HUGE deal in this game...
I mean yes... a Male Cast Will probably be the best Ranger or gunner as far as pure damage goes but it's not enough to say all other races suck in comparison...
I see Cast force/techer all the time and they do just fine...

I feel this game gives you WAY more options...


And yes at times leveling can be slow...but where you doing COs (Client Orders) while you was leveling?

They make the difference with that extra EXP and meseta...

Generally i just went with friends i met and we just had fun...exp wans't really a huge deal since we having fun lol

Also finding organized MPA (multi party area) is also a bonus...if all 12 players (12 max) all go as a unit and murder stuff makes it easy to get PSE Burst and Cross Burst....

Haven't lived until you've been in a 5+ minute burst lol
