So, there is that site where I read manga.

They have a "level" system to unlock feature like posting, replying, add photos, etc.

The leveling is just a coin toss; you earn a couple points for checking the site every hour, and once a day you use those points for up to 5 attempts to level up.

At the beginning, I couldnt post so I started my grind.

After I got enough lvls to do everything, I just kept it in my routine, just because it had barely any cost.

So, in a little more than 2 months, I reached lv70 but now the system is messed.

Aside from spending lots of points for a small 20% chance to level up, they added a penalty system when, if I fail to earn a level, I have 50% chanve of delevel!

This means it is game over to me. There is no point keep a RNG game with 20% success rate and 40% to get nothing and 40% to actually lose progress!

Since then he has been chasing that next high, that next dopamine release, hopelessly wandering through the back alleys and deserts, with the occasional stop at a bar with a big titty goth mami serving up drinks to remind him that there is more out there.

Dang, a good friend of mine made an unreasonable request to me.

He moved out of his previous home some while ago.

But he ordered online some shoes, but he forgot to change the address to deliver. So, it seems that the new shoes went to his old home.

Then he asked me to pick the shoes, somehow ask reimburse and send him the money.

The shoes are about $40, and I would be willing to just give the money for him to let it go. It is no a big deal.

But he asking me to go to another neighborhood, to ask the doorman to give me a supposed delivery form an older resident without any previous contact or agreement, and expect the doorman will give it to a third party from someone the doorsman dont even know is just too much.

If he wasnt a very good friend of mine, I would be dismissing him as fast as I could finish the message. He surely earns a lot more money than me, $40 is barely nothing to him, it makes no sense asking a friend to do something potentially embarassing just to get back such small amount.
