Nice! Thanks for sharing that. WHM used to be thaumaturge and gladiator, if its only thaumaturge this time its very safe to say arcanist fills the second now. Same goes for BLM missing pugilist.

I think you meant each is used twice? looks like PGL and THM will indeed be for SMN and/or SCH.

I can see THM + PGL for SMN with thunder dots and some survivability for when pets down (player buffs may copy to pets too who knows).

I can see CNJ for SCH for cure and buffs. Not really sure on the 2nd, maybe gladiator for the increased cure potency? Could be THM again for more dots.

mind breaking what you two are talking about down into laymans terms? are you saying to get SMN you'd have tl level THM and PGL or just that SMN can equip THM and PGL's abilities?

How it worked in FF14 1.0 was you take a class to 30 and a "sub job" to 15, and then able to set abilities from that sub-class and a secondary one. Example; to unlock Dragoon in FF14 1.0, a Lancer had to be Level 30 and have his Pugilist at level 15. After completing the quest and gaining their DRG soul crystal, they DRG could use all abilities/traits a Lancer learns, and set up to 5 abilities from Pugilist and/or Archer.

However, since there are no job quests in ARR beta atm and you get the soul crystal via the wandering mistral NPC, I'm not sure. :x

And because SMN and SCH are not available prior to launch (except the early access if you're legacy/pre-ordered ARR), I cannot say for certain which classes SMN and SCH will have access to as "sub classes/jobs." I merely pointed out a pattern in the job layout with info available and came to the theory that SMN and/or SCH would have PUG and THM as subjob. Or Sqenix will alter this and break said pattern I saw. :x

By "three times", I was including when it was used as the base for a job. Like ARC is used in BRD(main job) DRG and BLM.

I know, DOUBLE POST OH NOES WWW AND NOT EVEN SCH OR SMN NEWS WHYYY- Shush. As seen here, we now know what stats are best suited for each class/job.

Since WAR is being morphed into an HP tank, WAR and PLD might benefit more from Half VIT/Half STR for a defensive stance while keeping damage output up. PLD does get two neat job abilities called "Sword Oath" and "Sheild Oath". Sword increases damage output, Shield increases defensive stance. Idk about Warrior. Never unlocked it in 1.0 so can't access it in phase3. :x

DRG and MNK can go full STR. BRD goes full DEX (meaning I have to redo my materias grrr). WHM can go full MND because
1) HEALING MAGIC DUR HUR
2) Even with INT affecting magic damage, Celric's Stance makes it so a CNJ/WHM's MND and INT values SWAP completely. And 10% damage boost to all magic damage. Wut.
BLM should go INT path (dur).

As for SCH and SMN... I'm not sure, to be honest. Is INT going to affect magic acc? But "accuracy" on the manual says it affects both physical AND magical acc. So in that case, DEX should be the direct boosting stat of all accuracy. Will SCH get their own curing spells, or will the healing spells only be performed by the fairy? IF SCH does get cures, MND would be the best option. But what about SMN? It was said to be an attacker/debuffer/buffer... And we have to keep in mind that all the attribute+ points would be shared among SMN/SCH/Arcanist. Would it be another case of 50/50 like WAR and PLD?

Ugh, too much speculating. D:
