Xbox Exec: No Internet? Get an Xbox 360
An interesting read I must say. But lets shorten it, everyone take turns saying Microsoft is being a bunch of lame-o jerks. One person say there gonna buy it anyways. Then everyone take turns flaming said person. Then we all go to sleep feeling accomplished :D

I don't really have to respond with anything else because it doesn't really warrant it... I was looking for you to change my mind on the subject and you haven't even come close... That you think I would just come back and say "oh well that's just your account" when you present a 4-year case study is complete bull and idk, might be out of some misguided frustration or something... got too used to most everyone throwing a fit with ya about mocrosoft? I have no problem with you at all... I have no idea who you are really lol... to me thought you're just spouting a lot of nonsense that, at least to me, you don't seem to know a lot about... more of the common anger and repition of what you're hearing recently coming from some parts of the gaming community... Think what you will though lol... doesn't bother me ^^ Shiva.Saberr said: » An interesting read I must say. But lets shorten it, everyone take turns saying Microsoft is being a bunch of lame-o jerks. How it will affect sales and consumer opinion once it actually comes out...
As for used game sales I think taking used games out of the equation only really hurts people that sell games back right away for the what is it $30? I mean GS and other places really rake you over the coals when buying back used games for next to nothing... buying used games only seems to be about a difference of $3-$5 from the new version... The only other real angle is getting games when they're no longer available new... now if you have a digital marketplace that keeps em up for years to come there really shouldn't be an issue with that then... I'd be interested to see if the marketplace would support a digital switchover... Siren.Flavin said: » I'm personally very interested in seeing where this all goes... XboxOne numbers (PS4 leads 3:2) are well within what you'd expect given the price difference, so I think the policy change isn't as big a deal as those watching E3 might have wanted it to be. My citation doesn't have citation so there's no point posting it until I can verify it's source. (Unless you're satisfied with that, I wouldn't be.) Just to show that I didn't pull it out of my *** but another person's *** (As if that's better): IGN's original More substantial, but still dubious at best. Odin.Zicdeh said: » Time to eat my salad. I dont expect any hard numbers until 3 months after release, the best we can do is look at the top sales on amazon and speculate IGN's claim is 3:2, the other source is 2:1 but that's just GameStop numbers, so I figured the more conservative estimate was what I should attach to.
I assume IGN is using Amazon, BestBuy and Walmart for their data. I don't like to chain-post but I thought this was important enough.
Xbox One games were played on Xbox One Dev Kits for E3. Try to stem a little misinformation I myself helped perpetuate, though it didn't get above anecdotal or irrelevant status in here. I would think after the laughable Wii U trailer which showcased footage being played on a PS3, companies would ensure the games were being played on the system they were advertising.

Letting developers know the platform is flexible = good PR. Letting users know the platform is flexible to help Developers out = bad PR. Ive had a XBL gold account for 9yrs paying my 50-60 bucks every year big deal. There have been 2 days from moving (and the random power outtage)where my xbox hasnt had internet. I havent been to a Gamestop or any gamestore in 3 yrs, I actually enjoy buying my games off "Games on demand" so i guess xbox1 caters to people like me. You cant get good internet where u live? 5 words move and get google fiber. No need to keep beating a dead horse we get it most of you dont like it. Enjoy your ps4 btw i hear u guys finally get cross games live chat welcome to xbox 2005. I'm done flame on my friends flame on. its also a breath of fresh air to see legit post like the one i quoted ^^ . im 31 i have enough money to buy all i want but i wont be buying ps4 as they refuse to change that god awfull pad after 15 years its basically the same pad and lets be honest its poor. gotta say im excited for the next gen now cant wait^^ So you wont buy a much better system because of the controller? First of all, its not even that bad. 2nd of all, you can buy a freaking tournament 360 style controller for the ps3 and im sure there will be one for the ps4, lol. you say its a much better console, why is it Much better? it not going to be better online or for a xbl gold member such as myself its not going to be better for games either or infact for ease of use or infact the more i think of it xbox one sounds like a decent choice for the living room and with xbox's gaming heritage i have no doubt gaming on xbox one will be just as good if not better than Ps4 as xbox - xbox 360 were better than ps2 and ps3 for gaming Siren.Piccollo said: » Kimble2013 said: » Siren.Piccollo said: » Fenrir.Krucial said: » LOL There is like 5 topics and 100 pages of xbox cring so many tears so many. They just stopped taking pre-orders because projected supply is going to be outstripped by demand. Frankly, I'm not all that concerned about Day 1 or even quarter 1 adoption of either console. They both have a fairly weak first-months lineup, with (in my opinion) PS4 pulling ahead of Xbox One because of Killzone. (As opposed to XB1's Dead Rising 3) The rest of the games are multi-generational or multiplatform anyway. I find it funny MS tring to hide the fact that BF4 was run on a pc because it froze. After 10+ years on live I have switched to PS4 and MS can suck it. As of late Xbox live has gone down hill. You cant even sign in when the system starts. Plus all my rl friends had switched over to ps3 long time ago. I dont like the fact the kinect is always on even if you cut it off. I dont trust MS or Big brother. Way I figure it they will miss out on 3-6k worth of money from me.
Agreed.
Much like Wii U, the game that is in my opinion a system seller isn't coming day 1 (Bayonetta II). I'll buy the PS4 whenever a proper game comes out, but the thing is, PS4 will be a breeze to buy based on the announcement, whereas the Xbox One will always be this console I rather not buy, because I know I won't be able to 100% enjoy it, if at all. I remember a time when not buying a console was based on money (Neo Geo), but now, it's based on how shitty the policies are. It slipped through the cracks because of E3's political consolewar theater, but the day 1 lineup for both systems suck pretty hard. Maybe 1 or 2 games that look like they might be C+ or B- quality, the rest your standard dipshit boom boom bang that'll be coming to the old consoles anyway.
I think it was borderline criminal to advertise The Witcher 3 at E3 considering it's an anticipated Holiday 2014 release. As a general rule, I think E3 should only showcase stuff that will come up before the next E3 lol. I'd say R.Lee is the Consumer.

What are you talking about? When the Wii U was debuted, they ran a clip of third party games that would be coming to the system, and they were being played on the PS3. People tried to spin it in a negative way, and since then, devs have made it a point to show on the system they are advertising.
Don has now said that the Xbone's initial PR was a failure.
